So Prince Harry breaks with his “toxic family” who have it in for his wife then spills the beans in the most public and humiliating way, and is loathed on MN for his disloyal, self indulgent behaviour, amid cries that it is actually MM that is toxic. BB does the same and is immediately believed as being fully justified.

MovingOn26 · 20/01/2026 08:55

I have always loved David. He got where he is through massive talent and an incredible work ethic. Sure no one is perfect (the affairs!) and Victoria has styled the family into a PR brand, for sure, but the spoiled and entitled Brooklyn amazes me. Does he even think that his wife would have looked at him twice if he wasn't a Beckham? A family argument over a wedding dress and some vying for the spotlight between the daughter-in-law and the mother-in-law, which is normal in families, is not the occasion for a public rant against your own parents. The details of his complaint convince me that Nicola is ventriloquising him - she is even more spoilt than he is. Why do I even care? I DO NOT KNOW and I am going to stop caring now. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

SabrinaCarpetCleaner · 20/01/2026 08:55

There are many filthy rich people in the world enjoying the fruits of their labours in private. I don't remotely get the appeal of monetising (indeed, making it a 'brand'!) your private life, i'd rather be skint and content.

I don't think this public airing of dirty laundry will do anything for the son's contentment.

Agree. Same vibes as Harry. Weak men with narcissistic wives.

I have a feeling recollections may vary about what had gone on with Brooklyn, his wife and his parents. Whatever has happened, the whole thing should never have been played out on SM or the press.

I wish people would stop using what the Queen said when talking about the Beckhams. It's completely different circumstances. No matter how hard they try the Beckham's aren't and never will be royalty. Also I'm sure if anything Brooklyn has said isn't true David and Victoria will set the records straight or sue.

champagnetrial · 20/01/2026 08:57

Moves to the States. Has some therapy. Sees the light. It's not fair. But also...this is something to fill his time with. (cf Harry).
What's a chap to do though? He's just trying to make a little content and the only comments he ever gets on his posts are 'call your parents'.

omg bbc refers to vb as Lady Beckham ! Shock

Well, you may not like it, but she IS Lady Beckham! She is the wife of Sir David.

Anxietyspiral · 20/01/2026 08:58

Hopefully if the ban on children under 16 using social media goes through, this will also mean parents cannot use their young children as content.

I don’t believe that Victoria notified them on the ‘eleventh hour’ about not being able to design the dress as I read another article about the length of time it took to create the dress she did wear. As with every family disagreement, there’s the BP’s story and the Beckhams story, and the truth. Just a shame its become such a public spat.

That Valentino dress was meant for the evening bit, so it was a year being made just she wore it for the day instead.
They were hardly going to drop Victoria in it to Vogue magazine, where she is regularly a contributor. Besides, they were still trying to pretend all was well at that point.
I think some of Beckhams PR team are on here, and not being very subtle either.

Gloriia · 20/01/2026 09:00

All he wants is peace and privacy so he overshares on social media. I think he's been hanging out with Harry.

Bbq1 · 20/01/2026 09:00

I feel a bit sorry for his siblings as they seemed close. That could be another facade though, I guess. I have some sympathy for B as I don't think he's particularly bright and had little choice over his life as a child and teenager. The other Beckham kids appear compliant but who knows? The Beckhams appear to be now pinning their hopes on turning Harper into an "influncer ".

But by coming out with their sob story is it not just another way to grab attention & headlines when their lack of talent means they have nothing else left to flaunt/sell? I do agree that putting children on social media should be banned. The Aussie pre- 16 usage ban would also probably be healthy.

Thing is, it depends how you view it

V and D are briefing news outlets and giving content to social media

BB has lived his whole life in the public eye. Zero protection. Zero safeguarding

I cannot begin to imagine how a parent would consider it appropriate to allow the media to have unfettered access to their children

I'm assuming BB became more and more unhappy with this and eventually, when he managed to escape to the Peltz family, felt strong enough to rebel against the Beckham family toxicity

I can't see any way for him to communicate other than in public. He wants to speak out to his followers and he wants to shut down the family toxicity (although good luck with that!)

I expect he's OK with publicity as long as he has some control over it, which seems reasonable

I feel for him. Although he should remember, imo, that he would never have met Nicola if it wasn't for his parents notoriety

I was watching one of the other Beckham children (Cruz?) supporting V and D and it reminded me of me, years ago, with no idea about narcissistic/enabler parents , just toeing the line and speaking the Family Directive.

NewGirlInTown · 20/01/2026 00:37

He is awful to put this into the public domain. What a loser. Does he have a job yet? His wife wouldn’t have looked at him twice if his name wasn’t Beckham.
He reminds me of that little shit Harry.

It is like Harry in the sense that they both say they ended up speaking out because of what they feel was their families leaking spin stories against them and their character to the press.
it is similar in that both took quite a long time before eventually taken action in what they see as defending themselves.
i will say, in both situations, I felt I knew where the stories in the press were coming from before either said a word so I already believed both of them because it was clear to me before they said anything themselves. None of us have a clue what it’s like to be in the public eye and have our characters assassinated - I’d like to say I wouldn’t go this route, but I’m not in these people’s shoes. I’m sure not all parties are blameless but there isn’t a roadmap for this stuff and have had to figure it out themselves. Harry is older and I feel has figured himself out since his late 30s. He’s also got and maximised his own resources, whether you like how he went about it or not, so can feed and protect himself and his family hopefully for life which I think he said was his motivation. (And also to fund making the press accountable which I wholly support.)
I worry for BB - he’s still really young, hasn’t been allowed to develop, has swapped one emotional and financial dependency for another and doesn’t seem all that equipped for a successful and independent future. I don’t think he should have put up and shut up - but I think he’s got his head in the lion’s mouth with the Pelzes also.
Whilst I cannot stand the Beckhams (or the RF)
I do hope any family can evolve and figure things out.

I think you'll find it's an even split.

Feelings are valid of course but the pair of them to moan about lives in the public lens then share publicly load of private stuff about their families is just appalling.

Thing is when brought up as pampered prats self awareness is usually lacking as demonstrated by Brooklyn and Harry.

I wasn't bring unkind , I meant no-one knows what's gone on. I thought he had said previously that they were going to have a VB dress but the dressmaker wouldn't be able to deliver on time so they went with an alternative. Who is to say that she didn't ditch VB or kept changing her mind on What she wanted etc

There are always two sides

There isn't always two sides. Sometimes one of the sides is just plain wrong.

Loving it? I think it's sad to see a family breakdown in full view of the public. I suspect that there has probably been fault on both sides but it's a shame it couldn't all be kept private. The press are like a bunch of sharks in a feeding frenzy, it's pretty distasteful 😕

Keeping things private doesnt pay 🤑🤑🤑

BB hasn't launched extremely personal attacks on his parents, released a warts and all book about them or schlepped around various chat shows taking about them. All of which H has done. B just appears to have seen the light regarding his parents. They have controlled the narrative around him and his siblings since Day One. He's rebelling albeit later in life.

I’m a bad person. I laughed out loud at this https://www.instagram.com/reel/DTtqqpXCEsX/?igsh=Z3Jld2tkbGN6NTRm

I do seriously hope they can’t sort it out, family breakdown is always sad but it sounds like both sides need some sort of insight - even if BB just needs to acknowledge how incredibly wealthy he is because of his parents. Not sure the Beckhams are the most reflective.

I'm sure if he and Nicola have children he'll immediately remove himself from social media and stop courting the limelight. For their sake. Hmm.

blackpooolrock · 20/01/2026 09:11

he comes across as a spoilt brat who wants his own way - he's another posh crybaby like harry.

Of course his family manage everything - that's why they have what they have. His new family will do exactly the same given their status.

He's incredibly naive.

Plus who cares about this stuff?
