In all the photos I have seen of VB with BB she is standing with a silly pout on her face, posing for the cameras and centre stage. Whoever else is with her is just a prop. The body language screams self absorbed narcissist.

I agree. She never looks happy & natural. It’s always this weird closed mouth pout!

When you have threats to kidnap you but your parents still subject you to their celebrity lifestyle and constant pap walks throughout your childhood then you stand no chance of a normal childhood. There past behaviour was always going to come back and bite them.

No but you can work it out. My DB was born 9 mths after the 1966 World Cup final and my DD is 25 September. However they are not named Jules Rimet or Holly!

Edited

BB says in a Q&A on YouTube with his wife from a few years ago that his name is because it’s where VB found out she was pregnant and not where he was conceived.

Agree. I do t think it’s bad that he knows where he was conceived, it’s more the naming him. And back then Brooklyn wasn’t as cool as it is now. I remember thinking it was such a cringey name.

Agree it was quoted many a time. VB always used to like to shoehorn sexual references into conversation to ensure everyone knew that she and DB were having sex. Yawn.

I think we do all have false memories. As a child I had a sweet bright pink dress with white smocking and collar. I loved that dress - probably the first and only bought just for me as I was a fourth daughter and lived in pass downs. I was heartbroken when I outgrew it. The dress itself was passed around the family to various cousins and nieces and came back to me when I had daughters. Anyway I DISTINCTLY remember wearing it at my cousin's christening, I was 3 or 4.
Except just recently at my Aunt's funeral my cousins put out family photo albums for us all to look through at the after wake. There was a photo of me at my cousin's christening - although it is black and white it is quite clear that the dress I was wearing was flowery and not my pink dress! I was most put out to find I have a completely false memory around this!

Right so because you did that we must be the same…..

I mean yes we do have false memories but this is a memory that a lot of people have too so it’s not really comparable.

anyway the Sunday papers are full of ‘friends’ and it’s quite sickening

SoftIce · 25/01/2026 09:15

They really will hound him until he breaks. What kind of "loving parent" does this?

Of course, they are proving his point (for anyone who is willing to see it!), but to be honest, they are so much better at this game than he is that it is awful to watch.

NeelyOHara · 25/01/2026 09:16

It’s actually coming off as quite sinister now, so far they’ve leaked stories saying they hope he doesn’t end up penniless and alone, and how they’ve always protected him from bad things coming out…..it’s threatening him to keep his mouth shut basically.

An interesting article
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2026/jan/25/brooklyn-beckham-influencers-children-rebel

Mumsnet are mentioned.

That child isn’t Brooklyn Beckham, who was born before the advent of Instagram, so started his life being monetised in print instead. But they may as well be. To paraphrase one Mumsnet user, the Beckham family feud could spark a #MeToo moment for the children of celebrities and influencers. The Beckhams walked so that influencers could run – they’ve learned from the best. So inured to this mass monetisation of childhood have large swathes of the public become that many no longer see anything wrong with it. They no longer see the truth, which is that we are in the midst of a giant social experiment, with children as the guinea pigs. Never before in the history of humanity have children seen their right to privacy so violated, and by the adults who are supposed to care for and protect them. And anyone who watches or engages with this kind of mass content is complicit.

Brooklyn Beckham and Prince Harry are the canaries in the coalmine. The children of Instagram will be next | Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett

A generation of overexposed children are being used by their parents for social media clout. What happens when they start to speak out, asks Guardian columnist Rhiannon Lucy Cosslett

I read this and think it's an excellent article. I think putting the family drama aside, it's an excellent opportunity for wider discussion on not just celebrities and influences but just joe public posting pictures of their children on social media. I've seen so many posts from friends posting pictures of their kids such as in the bath, in hospital and having a tantrum that they wouldn't post of themselves or their partner. These children can't consent to their most vulnerable moments being posted for all to see, not to mention the safeguarding concerns too.

This is all very odd to me. I was having sex every 2 days for about 6 months to conceive my children. Surely if they can pinpoint exactly where they were it means they weren't having that much sex? Why is it something to boast about that you have sex in a relationship unless you are desperate for someone to shag you ( and reiterate this seemingly obvious aspect of being 2 young, attractive people in a relationship) but they arent?

My birthday is in April and my parents proudly told me I was conceived on the Fourth of July. There must have been fireworks is all I can say.

I've just looked at the Spice World tour & they were only in Denmark for a couple of days!

They just won’t leave it, or him, alone will they? How many stories are they going to plant in the mail? They are just proving his point, poor kid.

Wow this is a massive clap back - so much detail and positioning pro D&V.

Found this line hilarious:

“David and Victoria are young, soppy parents and yet last week she was shamed for it.”

They are both in their 50s!!!

true , she poses the same whether it's her husband or child, so could be anyone - well anyone male I suppose, Harper is usually with the dad.

She's actually incredibly shy and self-conscious I think.

I realise sometimes shyness can be in itself a form of self-importance (placing too much importance on how you are coming across and worrying about it), but I think it's more that than just being full-on full of herself.

Everyone who knows her and has reported their experiences of her long standing pattern of behaviours to date would not characterise her as shy.

Unstable, mean, nasty, bullying, arrogant, entitled, difficult, demanding are some of the descriptions often repeated.

That’s not the impression I have got of her, reading a lot of people’s experiences with her.

Why can’t she just look naturally? Why make that silly pout with her mouth closed?

Ive not heard that about her. ( I have about NPB though) . I got the impression she was incredibly self absorbed and obsessed with her image, but not actively nasty.

Bruisername · 25/01/2026 16:59

the pair of them both seem like they are putting on an act tbh so who knows what they are like behind closed doors

I've never seen NPB in an interview or anything but she does have a terrible reputation!!
