Oh you sweet summer child.

If he’s only had an affair once, why haven’t the Beckhams sued the Nanny who said she’d had an affair with him, or Tom Bowers(iirc) an author who stated recently in a publish BOOK that he’s well known for having affairs?

Yes, and he helped her with business because he owes her.

SoftIce · 21/01/2026 19:24

I have this little fantasy where Brooklyn "uses his platform for the right reasons" and starts campaigning against the exploitation of under-age children by their parents on social media. He is uniquely placed to do so and if he succeeded (Brooklyn's law anyone?) it would be the ultimate victory. you David. 😄

I think this commercial set up changed along the way. The MSM had loads of dirt on DB affairs and D&V gave away their fantasy family parade for free to keep this shit out of the papers - this allowed DB to grow lots of luxury brand deals as a ‘wholesome’ family man which has made them millions. There really is no need for VB to have her own tab on DM celebrities - she isn’t a celebrity - she was the least talented in a girl band 3 decades ago - since then she has been fronting up a failing fantasy vanity fashion project.

Yes.

Llamma · 21/01/2026 19:31

YourAmplePlumPoster · 21/01/2026 13:31

If he was a serial cheat it would be all over the Daily Mail. As far as we all know he cheated on VB once with the Rebecca Loos woman.

Because they have struck a deal with the DM that they don’t publish the shit in return for daily tidbits and photos of the fantasy family parade….why on earth would VB have her own dedicated tab on the DM - she’s not been relevant since being the least talented in a girl band 30 years ago. It’s transactional - DM of course win - an affair story has a shelf life - now they have the Beckhams over a barrel providing free click bait daily to keep DB image clean so he gets to sign up as many luxury product promotions as possible to keep the ££££ rolling in to keep funding VB’s fake failed fashion brand. They are all parasites on each other - except the children who are the mince fed into the machine with no consent or privacy or control to line their parents pockets.

I'm amused by comments about poor upset mummy Vicky. She won a competitive audition to be in a manufactured girl band with close to zero singing skills and is now a multi millionaire. She stuck with a man who has repeatedly cheated on her, for their joint earning ability. I think she's as hard as bloody nails.

I fear for Harper, she is not a natural twig. I hope she manages somehow to forge her own curvier path past her fake and anorexic looking mother.

Bit like Prince Harry campaigning against the SM companies and the impact on children??? But then touting and monetising his own children on SM daily?

Bruisername · 21/01/2026 19:44

Even the stories published today have a whiff of a plant by the beckhams - it’s like they don’t recognise that their family dynamic is dysfunctional

if an article says ‘a friend’ or ‘someone close to the family’ it normally means their PR person

Is he? I have no idea. But no, definitely not that way. I think the cause is worthwhile.

simpsonthecat · 21/01/2026 19:44

I haven't a clue what Harry's children look like. Unlike the Beckham children from day one

What a great idea if Brooklyn used his platform to advocate against children on social media by pushy parents!

Bruisername · 21/01/2026 19:48

I find celebrities who campaign against social media but use it a lot to promote themselves very odd (not necessarily Harry - I don’t know what he posts).

MidWayThruJanuary · 21/01/2026 19:48

Do you have links? I know they are on the Instagram page every couple of months but I don't think they are on it on a daily basis.

Not against social media! Against the use of children on social media.

Ok sure but relying on the very companies that are exploiting and damaging children

the whole sm ban lets the sm companies off the hook - it should definitely be a two pronged attack

SoftIce · 21/01/2026 19:52

Obviously, social media are here to stay. I have no feelings about that one way or another. I do have quite strong feelings about using children to promote yourself, whoever does it. (Harry bores me so I have no idea what he does or doesn't do and I don't care.)

OK, I see what you mean.

MidWayThruJanuary · 21/01/2026 19:57

There also needs to be an absolute sea change in how parents use SM and use their children. Let's not pretend that it's all the 'government's' fault. All those 1st day at school or back to school photos and the 'go smash it' comments. What are people thinking.

SoftIce · 21/01/2026 19:59

I 100% blame the parents. But I think the government could legislate against using images of children, as they cannot consent to it.

MidWayThruJanuary · 21/01/2026 20:00

I agree @SoftIce.
Maybe the storm around Grok and the deepfake AI images of young children may be a catalyst to make people realise what dangerous waters we are in.

SoftIce · 21/01/2026 20:00

(I don't know if it is even (legally) possible, I'm just fantasizing a little.)

Bruisername · 21/01/2026 20:02

I find the whole idea that the internet shouldn’t be regulated thoroughly bizarre tbh

the amount of stuff you can see on social media or even just search up is deeply disturbing - films and tv are regulated so why not sm

and agree that using your kids in anything that is monetised should be regulated - perhaps earnings have to be ring fenced too?

I mean if harper were to divorce her parents (picking on her as she isn’t an adult so could) would she get a pay out for the money she brought in?

I'm pretty sure that like many other high profile famous people Harry only shows the back of his kids heads, which is totally fine imo.

Whereas the first time the public saw a full face photo of Brooklyn was when his parents sold his image as part of their wedding photos to the highest magazine bidder.

H&M put a picture of Archie in the bath in their NF doc - they used loads of their images in that 6 part series. They issued a full frontal of L to the global media for her first birthday to get on the coattails of QE2 jubilee - when by that point they had flounced and disparaged the RF.

They ref A&L looks, behaviours, habits, hobbies in every single interview that they do - as well as including them in all their With Love Meghan and As Ever promotions online to sell UPF and tat to line their own pockets.

They also use them directly to front up other commercial collaborations like the one they did with Disney recently.

They have also recently announced that they have involved them in their new charity set up.

So they exploit them without consent and insert them into at every MSM & SM commercial opportunity to line their own pockets.

Yes and I even remember the Hello front page with his matching outfit and the thrones!

I'm not getting into a to and fro Llama. I totally disagree and this isn't the right thread to discuss it

I disagree. There was a poster on here the other day saying how her own mother was a low key lifestyle journalist in print media in the 90s and occasionally referenced her family and children. She said it was deeply humiliating and a huge invasion of privacy to go to school and your peers know everything about you. She is still affected by it as an adult.

Nowadays parents ruthlessly ransack their children’s childhoods, fake, set-up, record and curate a total fantasy or not for clicks and money without any consent by the child. They have to live with the shame / sneering / attention / jealousy / bullying day in day out at school and online where all of this shit sits forever. There is no escaping it and it seriously stunts a child’s emotional development which can lead to chronic intractable MH issues. Hilarious that PH says this happened to him during his childhood and he is proactively exposing his own children to the same.

Legislation is being discussed about risks of SM for children - but what about the risks within the family by the parents exposing their own DC? It’s Childhood Emotional Abuse / Neglect - and needs education and safeguarding by laws and professionals to stop the influencers harming their own DCs.

Bruisername · 21/01/2026 20:41

It’s interesting because people want to see their faces so doing a photo release at birthdays or Christmas would control it more than just showing the back of their heads and creating a frenzy.

but I understand that the press will leave the kids alone if the parents don’t put their own photos out? But once they’ve sold a photo/publicised one it’s open season
