I'll bet they do it they think they'll get the parents' autobiographIes or ghost written written detective/love stories in time.

Yes a ok as a favour. Don’t actually print too many. Sign a deal for their next book. The big book covers the loss of the favour.

Scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours.

Hasn’t he spent a fortune on voice training?

Still sounds like a squirrel on helium.

Yeah, but limited sympathy

It's great to see young man speaking out.

CrikeyNumpty · 20/01/2026 18:26

I suppose all this keeps them current, even if it is a negative story.

There are so many rich celebrities who can manage to keep their private lives private. The Beckhams have courted publicity, and have reaped the benefits. They dragged their kids in too. So now their eldest is rebelling. The others might too. As they are so about the brand must be hard to find a niche or a passion that can feed into that brand. It might explain Brooklyn’s embarrassing attempts at photography and cooking. He might enjoy them as an amateur hobby but he was pushed into showcasing himself. Maybe he likes model cars, or knitting. Those type of hobbies wouldn’t cut the brand mustard.

diddl · 20/01/2026 18:28

I'm not sure BB has ever stuck at anything long enough to find out if he has a talent for it.

I'm also not sure if he ever had much chance to though as things seemed to have been hyped up before he even started!

I suspect that’s the issue - he’s never been able to show an interest in a hobby without it suddenly becoming a career! He doesn’t seem to do much photography these days so I suspect it was never a great passion

at the moment he seems to be leaning in to the reputation though as I refuse to believe he takes his cooking slots seriously! Although he may do in future

CrikeyNumpty · 20/01/2026 18:38

Beckham tries to portray himself as a national treasure. He is try hard. Paid off with his Knighthood though. Despite the leaked emails he got there in the end, showed his true character in them.

That is why he looked gimlet eyed and angry dragging a tipsy wee sodden trousered VB down the stairs. It was a big event to do with the dress brand and instead of acting like a fashion maven she just looked like some girl who had got bladdered in a town centre and who had pissed herself on the way home. Not really what you expect from a fashionista. Not Brand Beckhams. Sticky Vicky and Waltzer Dave.

They have had their day. They were boring back when Sophie Ellis Bextor wore her Bored with the Beckhams T-shirt. But to counteract the ennui at their sticking around they are relying on their offspring to prolong the attention. That is why BB has acted out the greatest betrayal.

diddl · 20/01/2026 18:39

It does seem to have been that way.

He did give on his photography degree(?) quite quickly I think.

But then I think also was hired to do/help on a prestigious fashion shoot.

All very confusing I would think.

I would love him to go away and learn to become a proper professional chef. Mainly for himself for also as a FU to his parents, who evidently have put no value in education.

..just so I can be vicariously embarrassed as a mum..😂

😂

Downbythelac · 20/01/2026 18:56

He also was hired to shoot a Burberry campaign a few years ago.🙄.

Bruisername · 20/01/2026 19:00

Isn’t a Burberry shoot a nepo baby rite of passage?

being told you are good enough to have a book and good enough to do a fashion shoot and then have the public laughing at you must be very confusing at 17/18!

Bruisername · 20/01/2026 19:02

So reports say BB is the only one with a copy of the video of the dance. He’s in a bit of a fix

if he doesn’t release it then people will say he’s a liar

if he does people will say he’s been very cruel to his mum and clearly not after the privacy he’s asked for

Justdancevance · 20/01/2026 19:06

I see Victoria owns his name until 2026 and he wouldn’t sign it over again

NewYearSameMe16 · 20/01/2026 19:10

The best take I’ve seen on this was someone saying that this is the reaction of millionaire and billionaire kids who’ve never faced any kind of adversity, so things that most regular people would see as minor inconveniences, they feel are heinous traumas that warrant cutting their families off. I’ve heard of most of these incidents before and V&D haven’t come across well, so not sure why they’d be the ones placing these stories in the media. There are three sides to every story but even if they’re partly true, is it enough to never speak to your family again?

Brooklyn should watch out because Nicola dated Anwar Hadid (so sons with famous families are clearly her type) and he stopped talking to his family while with her. Plus they’ve tried to make it look like VB ruined the wedding when the Peltz’ were sued by their own wedding planners.

Brooklyn should also remember that it’s ’Brand Beckham’ that put him in a position to meet his wife as without it, she’d never have looked twice at him.

lightnesspixie · 20/01/2026 19:10

Team Brooklyn

Why do you and the people who write similar things assume that anyone, rich or poor, finds it easy to cut their parents out of their lives and can do it on some kind of petulant whim?

whyisnothingsimple · 20/01/2026 19:20

Nothing to do with this thread really but many years ago I was walking to a work meeting in near Regent Street about 8.30 and was stopped from crossing a road by a huge man - I asked why and was told The Beckham’s were about to get out of their car to go into a high end shop - told him where to go and that I didn’t give a toss - he blocked me and I was furious that I had to stop for these self indulgent idiots

Bruisername · 20/01/2026 19:21

Because you can only eat the rich if you dehumanise them

He wasn't a good photographer though.

then he should've stuck at photography art college or as an apprentice if he really wanted to make a go of it.

Similarly if he really wants to be a chef then cooking school might be a good starting point

The world is going to absolute shit and 4 out of the 7 posts in the trending panel at the time I'm writing this are about Brooklyn Beckham. Personally I think it's time people stopped obsessing over celebrities and got worked up about things that actually matter.

Who put you in charge?

Did I say Brooklyn found it easy in this scenario? This has been going on for ages so no one thinks he made this decision overnight. My point was I agreed with the opinion that people like him, who haven’t really gone through proper hardships, will take things like a disagreement over a dress or his mum not helping rescue homeless dogs as horrible behaviour. The rest of us, with a real world perspective, would probably get over that as we have more important issues to deal with.

Clearly the op of that post is not listening to trump warbling on and on and onnnnnnnnnnn on sky news currently. He was to say something about Greenland but so far just Biden was wrong, Somalia doesnt exist, he is amazing. Actually there is a whole correlation between this 'celeb nonsense thread' and what is actually happening in the world.
