Brooklyn Beckham sends parents legal letter

I saw in the media that Brooklyn Beckham has had a legal letter sent to his parents requesting that they stop trying to make contact with him. I didn’t realise the talk of him falling out with them was real, thought it was just gossip. I think I was a bit shocked by it. Of course I don’t know them but they always seemed like a lovely close family.

We don't know the truth of course but from the outside it seems he has gone from being controlled and bank rolled in one rich family to being controlled and bank rolled by another rich family.

But he's living it on his terms. He's not being trotted out for photo ops like a puppet to boost his parents' bank balance.

Disclaimer: I used to work in a branch of the media where I dealt with celebrities. The Beckhams are shameless in their pursuit of wealth and fame.

No he’s just trotted out now for photo ops to boost his wife’s career and bank balance. The Peltz are a very difficult family - see the legal suits against their wedding planners.

Out of the frying pan and into the fire.

BB and NP also play the media briefing game.

NoArmaniNoPunani · 10/01/2026 08:42

I don't think his parents were particularly good role models. He grew up with a dad constantly having affairs and a mum living in complete denial. Money doesn't make a happy childhood.

@1stjan2026 maybe the Beckham's didn't understand the impact of what they were doing.
Many influencers use and monitise small children don't they

Well they do now and they are still doing it - trotting out a minor (Harper) at every opportunity.

Holidaytrees · 10/01/2026 08:36

You would have to if they asked you to stop.

To keep contacting someone who has said no is harassment.

Legally it requires someone to contact you only two more times after being asked to stop to be classed as stalking.

NeelyOHara · 10/01/2026 08:50

The Beckhams are constantly feeding stories to the press about how angrateful he is, and how upset poor Victoria and David are, who have always put their children first.
You know, despite dragging them round the world for David’s career, and using them for press since the day they were born.

Good on Brooklyn, who leaks stories on their own kids to stay in the headlines?

GRCP · 10/01/2026 08:51

I can’t help but think Brooklyn is a spoilt brat tbh. He’s never worked a day in his life, bankrolled by one family then another. I get how hard it is for people to go NC but that’s in cases of actual abuse - whatever D&V are like, they aren’t abusive.
Also, if he didn’t have famous parents he wouldn’t have met and married a billionaire heiress - you can’t have it both ways.

I don’t think she was in complete denial behind closed doors. I suspect she was devastated and broken and BB absorbed her deep trauma. I doubt she had close friends she could trust or download on whilst dragging her young children around the world following her slag of a husband whenever he felt like upping sticks and indulging his ego and career. She comes across as a woman who has suffered significant emotional neglect in her marriage.

NeelyOHara · 10/01/2026 08:53

“whatever D&V are like, they aren’t abusive.”

You have literally no idea if this statement is true.

How do you know they “aren’t abusive”? Quite a shocking comment to make when you have zero idea what it was like to be brought up in that household.

RickAstleyRollerskates · 10/01/2026 08:54

So funny how quickly people are to cast the children of celebs as bellends.

Given the daily dose of family dysfunction dished out on Mumsnet, it would be interesting to see how the offspring of Mumsnetters would fair in the public eye.

People in glass houses...

Who knows but I do feel the Beckhams have monetised the children for Brand Beckham and growing up in such an environment maybe wasn’t conducive for their children to adopt a work ethic and choose anonymity as since a young age they’ve had no choice?? As others have said other celebrities children have gone on to choose non famous careers

LizzieSiddal · 10/01/2026 08:56

I’ve always said one or more of those dc will either go off the rails or go non contact. I’ve been horrified watching how much they used their dc, almost from birth, to promote themselves. It’s a terrible way to bring up a child.

Wildbushlady · 10/01/2026 08:57

We have no idea what it was like to grow up in that family.

I'd say the fact that the family dysfunction has been quite clear, despite the heavily curated image portrayed, is telling.

Onefortheroad25 · 10/01/2026 08:59

I see people saying he didn’t like being in front of the cameras but sure he’s still in front of the cameras now. He’s not exactly living a reclusive life. I think the Beckhams should financially cut him off immediately and in future inheritance and see how that goes down. If himself and Nicola divorce he’ll be a bit fucked.
I doubt there’s much more to their spat other than they didn’t like Nicola and eventually couldn’t hide it anymore.

He’s married to a billionaires Dd. He will have signed a pre nup which will give him millions if he gets divorced.

Except by the time Harper came along, influencers were well and truly a thing.

I was thinking the same thing. A pre nup requires him to have legal advice before signing, so they would have negotiated good terms for Brooklyn during the process.

He will be absolutely fine financially for the rest of his life without his family.

Not sure why people would want to see him financially punished?

Pedallleur · 10/01/2026 09:20

Do these people just require publicity to stay alive? If they have issues, play them out in private or do the Beckham's and their ilk monetise their entire life?

FatEndoftheWedge · 10/01/2026 09:21

On mumsent a strong view is that if you had any material comfort growing up you can't then be disadvantaged in anyway.
Personally i see Harry as an example of someone having a brutal horrendous childhood .

Cherrytree86 · 10/01/2026 09:23

I think a lot of issues would be solved if he actually had a career - something to invest his time energy and effort into and less time for rumination and drama and disputes

Blindsidedd · 10/01/2026 09:26

I reckon NP-B is pregnant and that’s why they have thrown out this legal letter now.

FatEndoftheWedge · 10/01/2026 09:26

Re Beckham's and using their DC what I mean is perhaps they didn't have the know how /intelligent /emotional maturity to understand the impact on their DC of anything they have done from parading them out to constantly moving them

Dollymylove · 10/01/2026 09:27

He's a Peltz now, not a Beckham. Like Adam is a Ramsay, rather than a Peaty 😆
Adam at least has a few more strings to his bow than BB !!

FatEndoftheWedge · 10/01/2026 09:28

@Cherrytree86 couldn't the same be said of all of them .
Many DC follow in their children's footsteps and this is what they see their parents do.
Neither parents has a job that occupies their entire day.
