Well the US civil war was fought to answer one question. And that is how does the individual states rights stand in relation to the operation of the federal government ?

The answer was "subservient to".

I mean if people aren't happy with that decision then by all means have another war. However unless I missed the past 151 years of history, the South is still as poor as it was in 1860, relative to the North.

Worth noting that the EU had it's Article 50 that enabled the UK to secede.

Which resulted in the 14th Amendment, equal rights under law which is a cornerstone in Civil Rights. It states that "No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States" which has been surmised as being intended by the writers as a way to bar secession 'implicitly' as well as to protect the rights of freed slaves. Obvs this has never been tested.

We've touched on this before. Until SCOTUS actively and emphatically rule against POTUS, I am of the opinion they won't and therefore the constitution is a waste of grammar.

Same for congress - whatever that is. Until they show they are going to use the powers this "constitution" supposedly gives them I regard them as an irrelevance. As indeed does Trump. It may be the two things we agree on.

Those 100 buck deposits they paid might be needed now. Given that Trump Crypto is now less than 5 bucks ( from a high of 77). And their Trump watches might be in need of repair by now.

How soon before we either expel the US from the UK or seek to disarm them.

I'm not so sure I want any armed US forces on British soil anymore. They could be ordered to attack British civilians. (Which the already do anyway, with impunity, like their Russian chums. Just ask the Dunn family).
