Well they probably need to. Can't have ICE shooting up players because they don't like the look of them, correction, because they were behaving in a threatening manner by kicking a ball around.

I just imagine the border protection agents (or whatever they’re called) not allowing teams from other countries in to play because of ICE concerns or some other spurious reasons (colour, not being white American MAGATs) so that the US wins the whole tournament by default.

One of the redtops today (I was in the supermarket and saw headlines only) was apparently saying Trump had already banned ten footballers from travelling to the USA. This might have meant UK footballers, I am unsure. How many more? Apart from the entire teams of Ivory Coast and Senegal, of course. And Haiti. And Iran.

I don't recall which paper it was, though, so I can't possibly vouch for any accuracy in their reporting.
