in your family?

February is easily ours.
I can think of 7 Feb birthdays without trying.
We have no birthdays in January or August though.

January, April and May equally I think. Two of each that immediately spring to mind.

Ahwig · 05/01/2026 17:23

We have 15 birthdays in the first 5 months of the year then only 2 in the last 7 months, which at least helps with the Christmas save.

26 September is the most birthdays I believe

Yep!

I was once travelling on a bus to meet up with my husband and was sitting at the back with a group of teen boys. One commented that his birthday was September 26th, the boy next to him said ‘So is mine!’ and I had to add ‘You’re not going to believe this but me too!’

So between mine and DH's family there's
JAN - 0
FEB - 7
MAR - 2
APR - 2
MAY - 2
JUNE - 2
JUL - 1
AUG - 0
SEP - 3
OCT - 2
NOV - 1
DEC - 2

I think that's everybody 😂

Edited to add in Dog's birthday

In general it's September and October and August are also quite high. Xmas day is the lowest!

My mum said it was coz everyone was shagging on Valentine's Day so 9 months later, lots of kids!

There's no pattern really in my family.

Not sure maths was your Mum's thing. 9 months from Valentine's day is 14th November.

September birthdays are the most common because people drink a lot and have time off over Christmas, and also because some people plan it that way as being the eldest in the class has benefits.

July

visionpools · 05/01/2026 17:39

August and October

Cairneyes · 05/01/2026 17:40

My son and his wife have the same birthdate, which also happens to have been my wedding anniversary!

TheNightingalesStarling · 05/01/2026 17:43

In my immediate family of 14 people, 5 have their birthdays in a 2 week period at the end of june/beginning of July.

Haha, I guess neither of us are good at maths. To be fair to her, all her pregnancies were very premature so maybe that's why?!

Idontthinkicandothisanymore · 05/01/2026 17:49

December. Everyone in my family apart from me.

There's 28 weeks between Valentine's Day and 1st September so that would be a very premature baby! Around Mid-October and 34 weeks would be more likely.

Fair. I think it was around six weeks early for all of them. Though she isn't good at maths that's true!

Crunchymum · 05/01/2026 17:59

Our family of 5 have x2 in January (a few days apart) x2 in November (both on same day) and x1 in June.

I know a family of 6 and all birthdays fall within a 4 week period (26th March / 2nd April / 5th April / 17th April / 23rd April, 25th April - dates tweaked but this is the pattern)

So by @Puffalicious reckoning,
@pambeesleyhalpert 's November is 9 months after Valentine's Day... 🤔😆

Yep, I’m a mid November baby. My brother tracks back to our DF birthday. It’s nice to know our parents only did it for special occasions 😂

Christmaseree · 05/01/2026 18:05

September and mid November.

muddyford · 05/01/2026 18:09

May and December.

Hurryuphumphreygeorgeiswaiting · 05/01/2026 18:09

February, August and September are the busiest months in our house.

DramaAlpaca · 05/01/2026 18:15

In our extended family we have five in February, three in September and three in October. The rest are spread fairly evenly throughout the year, but there aren't many summer birthdays, just me and late FIL. Nobody in August at all funnily enough.

One of the September birthdays is my youngest DS. I don't mind admitting he was conceived either Christmas Eve or Boxing Day we must've been too exhausted on Christmas Day Wink

I once worked out (pathetic, I know) that DH and his three siblings must all have been conceived in school holidays - their parents were both teachers... Oh, and I arrived nine months after my dad's birthday, they were away on holiday at the time Grin

TheDandyLion · 05/01/2026 18:18

February. My mum, my brother and I all have the same birthday and my brother and I are not twins.

MrsMoastyToasty · 05/01/2026 18:22

In my DH family has 11 different family members with birthdays in May including 3 on the same day (there's no multiple births).
It's 9 months after the Scottish and English August Bank Holidays. (We're an English-Scottish family).

Ha! DS2 is November 🤣🙃. DS3 is February- lord knows there! I am indeed very lucky to have got pregnant very quickly each time.

dynamiccactus · 05/01/2026 19:01

There were a lot of November babies in ds' class at school.
