in your family?

February is easily ours.
I can think of 7 Feb birthdays without trying.
We have no birthdays in January or August though.

September here. Lots of fun times after
Christmas parties!

My aunt and uncle clearly used to enjoy their early summer holiday every year - their three children all have birthdays in the same week in March!

I either know you, or there's at least two families like that.

Amongst me and my siblings conceptions tie in with Christmas, DFs birthday and early summer holidays.

I too have a September baby Grin

I have a friend whose 4 kids were all born in May

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 05/01/2026 19:27

January

TheToteBagLady · 05/01/2026 19:27

A midwife once told me that they will generally be busy 9 months after an event such as a big England game ..

IbizaToTheNorfolkBroads · 05/01/2026 19:28

I have a Sept baby… was due on 30th but came much earlier

February. My mum, my brother and I all have the same birthday and my brother and I are not twins.

I have 2 brothers 2 years apart that also have the same birthday.

September is the most populous as it's 9/10 months after Christmas nights out/ Christmas. I think that explains all you need to know 😅. DS1 is September 😆.

Also people who are TTC might skip a month if the baby would be born in July or August to avoid them being the youngest in the year, so you get a bit of a bunch in September.

NormasArse · 05/01/2026 19:39

May in our family!

Sevenwondersofthewoo · 05/01/2026 20:39

Most popular for mine is august

Only one of our September birthdays is English. The rest are Scottish and Scandinavian! That school/birthday thing isn't important there.

Yup, Scottish here, & the Sep birthday thing is not a thing here at all (my Sep born was aged 5 two weeks after starting school).

June!

CaramelCaramel · 06/01/2026 10:52

It’s September because most women in the UK want a child who is one of the oldest in their year. My DC isn’t an autumn or winter baby. No pattern in my family though.

From September to December, it's all just wrapping in our house.

APurpleSquirrel · 06/01/2026 12:22

Sept is the busiest for my family with 4 family members birthdays plus several friends. June is equal with 4.
TBF though - DD was due in August but hung in there for an extra 2 weeks just so she could be the eldest in her year 😆

Haven't you read that for much of the UK that doesn't apply? So definitely not 'UK women'. The oldest in Scottish schools are March birthdays (or Jan/ Feb as you can defer if born then. We did for DS3 Feb born).

Justanotheruser2 · 06/01/2026 15:45

We're a pretty even spread but DD is September. We'd actually planned to start trying in the new year but I ran out of pills and we, ahem, got a bit carried away on Christmas Eve.

zingally · 06/01/2026 15:49

In terms of the whole population, it's September.
Fairly true for my immediate family as well.
Me, sister, uncle, MIL, nephew are all in the last 4 days in September.

April/May is also a common month in our family.

Oioiqueen · 06/01/2026 16:18

In my household 3 out 4 birthdays are April. To add to April is also my FIL making it 3 birthdays within 8 days.

Cherrybomb00 · 06/01/2026 16:20

April in our family, including both of my children who were conceived during World Cup summers

BertieBotts · 06/01/2026 16:22

August. 3/5 of us born in August! We were not aiming for any school year or anything, it was just random (infertility so didn't have that luxury).

IndigoIsMyFavouriteColour · 06/01/2026 16:23

July for us

Radiatorvalves · 06/01/2026 16:25

First DC was September. We got shot of the parents after Christmas, got pissed and…..had a baby.
