What’s your post-Christmas house like?

Is the tree down? Are the kids presents still all over your living room? Are there any corners with discarded wrapping paper still in them? How are the washing/dishes piles looking?

The leftover turkey should be gone tonight, then it’s back to work on Monday for me.

We put the decorations up at the beginning of Advent and take them down on the 6th of January. It’s only the fifth day of Christmas so we’re very much still festive here :D

The house is tidy and presents have been at least put into bedrooms/the bathroom - but the Christmas decorations and tree are still up. Going to take them down either tomorrow or NYE - sounds so grinchy but I can't wait until they're down - the tree hasn't been up to my usual pretty standard this year and hasn't had loads of the favourite vintage glass baubles on it because it's a weird crystal tipped tree and about half of the branches aren't even strong enough to hold cheap tiny plastic baubles - plus it's navy blue (it was a sales find my MIL bought for us from somewhere like Next or Dunelm so I felt obligated to put it up - really missed my beautiful fat (but fake) green tree that can hold and show off my lovely vintage jewel coloured glass baubles.
So secretly can't wait to get this tree down and give it to my sister (who is into minimalist Christmas decorations and only puts little robins on her tree).

Tree still up, presents still in their piles. Christmas food either eaten or chucked as we’re going away tomorrow for 5 days. Washing pretty straight and house fairly tidy. I’m never in a rush to take the tree or decs down. We’re going to France where it will still be very festive which I am very much looking forward to

All down here and tidy. We did a tip run and got rid of the Christmas tree and lots of rubbish yesterday. I’m getting ready for my new niece, I’ll be looking after my nephew while his parents go in for a planned caesarean. I’m doing another deep clean tomorrow so I can enjoy the New Year in a clean house or DH can keep on top of it all if I’m away longer than expected. Plus we’re away at our friend’s house for New Year’s Eve. We also have a birthday 3rd Jan.

Still Christmas here, probably until New Year's Day when I usually get the urge to go back to normal, although I'm not back at work until the 5th so might stretch it out until the weekend.

The decorations box is in the corner of our bedroom, along with the leftover wrapping paper and cards etc.

Downstairs is tidy-ish as we had visitors yesterday but we have games out on the coffee table that we played last night and chocolates / random Christmas hats dotted around.

Food wise, the last of the turkey has gone in the freezer, the ham, pork pie and pickled onions were polished off at lunchtime, so now it's basically just cheese and sweet stuff left. I baked way too many mince pies and gingerbread biscuits - am getting bored of them now.

Decorations are still up. Was tempted to take them down today but resisted. Presents still sitting about - will address that tomorrow. Christmas serving china needs put away too.

I take the decorations down on NYD but we only put the tree up about the 13th.
