I am not a breakfast eater so nothing for me.
Everyone else is having smoked salmon bagels or avocado and bacon on toast.
DH is on breakfast duty!

I will say though the chocolate filled pastry was supposed to be a treat because I was diagnosed type 2 diabetic this year and pastries are the worst thing you can eat but I'm already hungry again!

angelopal · 25/12/2025 07:50

Homemade pancakes.

Blueuggboots · 25/12/2025 07:52

@boulevardofbrokendreamssslive it really thinly, lay it on toast, cover with mustard, slam another piece of toast over the top….its amazing. But obviously I only eat it at Christmas….

Owly11 · 25/12/2025 07:59

Scrambled eggs on seeded sourdough and bucks fizz!

DeanElderberry · 25/12/2025 07:59

A clementine instead of my usual stewed apple; scrambled egg with smoked trout; toast and marmalade; tea.

I'll have to get out of bed at some stage.

Happy Christmas.

Twodogsisbetterthanone · 25/12/2025 08:00

The chocolates in their sacks 😂

Allelbowsandtoes · 25/12/2025 08:00

So far I've eaten some leftover pierogi which were delicious, washed down with two cups of coffee.

Magnoliasunrise · 25/12/2025 08:04

Chocolate from stockings then smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels and a massive fresh fruit salad about 10am.

Although everyone STILL asleep so at this rate breakfast will be the turkey.

W0tnow · 25/12/2025 08:04

Always sweet here. This year crepes with Nutella or lemon and sugar.

Thesofathatwas · 25/12/2025 08:06

A selection box, obviously.

PeonyPatch · 25/12/2025 08:06

Scrambled egg, avocado and smoked salmon plus sourdough toast… and of course.. Buck’s Fizz!!!

Happy Christmas everyone! 🥂

blackheartsgirl · 25/12/2025 08:08

Probably nothing as I don’t always eat breakfast and I don’t want to overload my stomach for dinner 😆

growing up my mum always used to cook a full English or have bacon butties but tbh I can’t be arsed with the faff of that. My teens sleep in late (coffee in peace!) so probably too late for breakfast anyway.

ExperiencedTeacher · 25/12/2025 08:08

A help yourself selection from bacon, sausages, hash browns, smoked salmon, poached eggs, muffins and Hollondaise sauce

Wishimaywishimight · 25/12/2025 08:09

Pancakes with crispy bacon and mimosas 😆

Siriusmuggle · 25/12/2025 08:10

I’ve just had a mince pie then I’ll have a bacon sandwich when I get home from parkrun

ActiveTiger · 25/12/2025 08:10

Scrambled eggs n toast

GrannyTeapot · 25/12/2025 08:13

Porridge and a cup of tea. Children might have some sprinkles on it.

LittleJules59 · 25/12/2025 08:14

A Waitrose prawn sandwich and a bag of crisps was the best I managed to forage last night when I realised I was going to alone in someone else's flat. (Long story, but next year I'm faking a foreign holiday to avoid repeating this.)

Strawberrymoonx · 25/12/2025 08:16

Scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, cream cheese bagels and Buck’s Fizz!

VashtaNerada · 25/12/2025 08:16

Pop Tarts! (It’s what the children requested and we never have them during the year…)

DeanElderberry · 25/12/2025 08:17

I'm almost on my own wrt humankind, but the other two members of the household are indicating that they think it's time for raw beef and cat food.

Usually we have cinnamon rolls but this year my son requested monkey bread, which is pretty similar to nr honest.

MaybeNextYear2026 · 25/12/2025 08:19

Got to be smoked salmon, avocado and poached egg for the adults and pancakes for the kids!

Teabagstasher85 · 25/12/2025 08:20

Coffee and a banana and then at about 11ish, another coffee and toast. I have to keep things relatively normal otherwise I’ve gone off food by the time we eat dinner later.
