What’s for Christmas Eve dinner?

I just got back with a Camembert to bake and a smorgasbord of party nibbles. Many pigs in blankets! All the cheeses and hams. Already have enough booze to open a bar.

my usual healthy diet is having a few days off…

Curious to know what everyone else is having?

Merry Christmas and hope you all have a great one 🎄🎄

We had veggie sausages , homemade cauliflower cheese and green beans .

We eschewed our normal takeaway as I was collecting son from ferry and we had food to eat up. So my DD made omelettes for me and her and my son had steak and leftover lentil stew.

We always have shepherds pie and peas

I want something comforting and suppery.
We don't crack open the Christmas food until tomorrow.

Range of party food with various dips but all the talk of camembert is making me crave some

Smoked haddock, mashed potato, spinach & poached egg. Yum.

Fancy! 💫

This is the first year we have no children at home for Christmas. None of them liked shellfish so DH and I are living the dream of eating exactly what we want this year without anyone whining 🤣.

Grazing tea - Cheese, crackers, ham, chorizo, grapes and crisps followed by Yule log that went wrong as dd forgot to get it out the oven but salvaged and made into choc cake with whipped cream/ganache!

Chinese takeaway- king prawns with green pepper and black bean sauce, salt and pepper chicken, Singapore noodles and prawn crackers was yummy

I'm just jealous. My kids are 5 and 2 and are in the brown food or cucumber or grapes phase of food life. 😒 Oh the things we used to eat! And we will again some day.
Merry Christmas 🎄

Cherish the memories 🥰. They grow up waaayyyy too fast, food can wait, those mad days of cucumber, grapes and beige food are the best days when they’re small. Have a lovely Christmas 🎄
