I was parked in Waitrose car park by 7:30am, so I had a good parking space available. They opened at 8, when there were about 20 of us waiting outside.
Had a quick dash around, making sure I hit the items most likely to run out first... Bread, milk, eggs. Got everything I wanted apart from satsumas, which I'd forgotten to put on the list. Oh well. Might walk to the local Tesco Express to see if they have any a bit later... See how I feel.
Then went down the road to Asda just for a look. Got chocolate mousses and a few bakery bits. A bit surprised to see plenty of parking spaces left, and not massively busy inside. This was about 8:30, so maybe the early morning crowd had gone by that point?
Needed to hang around for a bit then, as I've got an eye infection brewing, so wanted to go to Boots for drops, but they don't open until 9. So went and got a coffee from Greggs, and sat in there for 20 minutes or so. Then round to Boots.
Home and unpacked the shopping. Wrote Christmas cards for the immediate neighbours in my close - 10 houses - and walked them round.
Now having another coffee and procrastinating before getting on with some cleaning, prior to the first guests arriving tomorrow.
