It's time 🎵🎶 well nearly, 2 hours and change until it drops. It should be 10.30.
Its my favourite time of year but as usual I will probably be useless and depend heavily on mumsnetters for help to decipher.

I searched and couldn't find another thread if there's one already up and running ill delete this.

Edited for proper link

stuck on swans, safe, dog and calendar

The dog is quite lateral. Look at his name then think of a very well known classic book with a protagonist.

The swans are not pet swans, quite the opposite.

Doomgerbil · 21/11/2025 19:43

Finished. Huge thankyou everyone, couldn't have done it without you.

Rosieta · 21/11/2025 22:14

Edited

It's not just any year, this year belongs to someone and the aren't going to be on the go and stressed during it.

Rosieta · 22/11/2025 20:18

Thank you!☺️

Any clues for:

The Paper Birds - I’ve got that they’re swans but I’m struggling
The dog
The painting - I keep going the house under the sea etc but can’t get it.
The vegetable books

The paper birds are indeed swans, but they are not pet swans, they are the opposite.

Look at the dogs name think of a very famous classic book in which the protagonist shares his name.

The vegetable books don't over think it. What type of person might have lots of cook books of that type.

The painting forget the house it's not important. Only the water matters. What type of water feature is it and where is it? It's not a lake underground it's .......

Peppy76 · 23/11/2025 11:53

The computer one is a homophone for the word that collectively describes the things named on the screen followed by a term meaning to instruct a computer.

It sounds like the S word but with an R in it. The beginning of something is the "s", like a river ...

Got the first word. Its the rest that's foxing me

There is one more word - it is how to program a computer. Or you could send private messages using a secret one. If you are above a certain age you will remember the green cross .....

Thank you, I finally got it!

Just the calendar to go. Nobody’s clues have helped yet. Am I looking at both columns?

Yes ......and........ both indicated by the ticks on the calendar.

Gingercar · 23/11/2025 23:31

I still can’t get it. I’ve tried weekends and evenings, weekends and nights. All the combinations I can think of, but there are so many ways to describe it. All wrong!

You’ve got it @Gingercar, just the wrong way round! Try your options in alphabetical order (which is my normal way of saying it).
