What will Starmer do if Huntingdon...

Stabbing turns out to be terror related or in a similar vein to incident to recent incidents that were related to immigration ? We don't know the identities yet of the perpetrators. But the fact the Home Secretary is brought in to comment in tabloids and the discussion on LK on BBC today makes me worried its a possibility. The poor people on the train - I cannot even imagine .. ..Starmer needs to tackle knife crime as its rife. What is the answer ? When is there a tipping point ? I don't know but something must be done - I've never paid as much attention other than feeling so terribly sorry for any victims and families. Now I'm starting to get angry when I see anything like this

The truth will come out eventually. It always does.

But will it be believed? Even now done people are still adamant that drunk fans were responsible for Hillsborough, because rumours stick.

How is an eye witness account of someone who was on the train that's been broadcast on every TV station misinformation?

I said your conclusion in your earlier post.

BluebellShmoobell · 02/11/2025 11:03

Probably smoke loads of weed im sure

What the heck do some Muslim men's misogyny have to do with a massive stabbing by two Black British men in their 30s?

It's all feels forrin

SlothMama14 · 02/11/2025 11:03

PreciousTatas · 02/11/2025 11:02

Yep.

Where are all these gangs attacking complete strangers en masse for no reason? Criminal gangs attack rival members, and sometimes innocent people are caught up.

They don't commit mass stabbings on a train car of complete strangers.

Edited

Where has it been said they weren't targeting someone in particular on the train?

There will be eye witness accounts and videos appearing soon.

I don't get the gang members angle.

They usually attack fellow gang members and they would have to be very daft to do it in a packed train where they know full well they will be filmed and inevitably caught.

Makes zero sense.

Please stop. Stop now. Speculation is always unhelpful & you are completely wrong. Shame on you.

Well, let's see. But seeing how gang-related crime in the UK is endemic right now, it's not a stretch to think if it wasn't terror-related, that's the motive instead.

EasternStandard · 02/11/2025 11:05

They could have been pissed/ drugged up and there was a confrontation that involved a lot of people seating near.

IFartAlot · 02/11/2025 11:05

WhatsApp convos I have there are those who claim that on per capita white British men commit less violent crime and less sex crime.

WhiteCold · 02/11/2025 11:05

Problem is trust in police and politicians is so low at the moment the statement really needed to give more details and reassurance than that statement offered.

cottonwoolie · 02/11/2025 11:05

Because I just can’t fathom what the motive would be. Unless it was a psychotic episode, but other posters have said the fact there were two people suggests that is less likely. It just doesn’t make sense.

It could be an initiation thing but ages don't fit that. They could both be nutters.

winterbluess · 02/11/2025 11:06

TruckDiver · 02/11/2025 11:02

Because those people are fucking awful racists who NEED the facts to fit their prejudice.

No, because we were all fed a load of crap about the southport attacker and shown photos of the suspect as a child. Turns out his dad was a bloody warlord in Rwanda and starmer helped him get into the UK

luckylavender · 02/11/2025 11:06

HRTQueen · 02/11/2025 10:25

I imagine he is working on his statement now

he will make a few strong comments on how this country will not be threatened by terrorism while trying to stoke up patriotism, sympathy to family, and gratitude to emergency services

it will be empty words for too longer governments have ignored the radicalisation of young men within mosques funded by our friends Saudi and the threat of allowing thousands of hardened, angry and traumatised young men into the country with very little resources to manage them

It’s an issue all over Europe but how to get a handle on this I don’t know but what I do know is that the far right and far left are both happy to keep us in this situation both sides love nothing more than hating the other side and do nothing to bring anything to the table that can move us forward

we need to be able to have frank, honest sensible discussions im not sure many politicians are capable of this I know some are but many are gripped by fear of saying the wrong thing

Do you feel a bit stupid now? Stirring the pot, dividing people.

TheRedOrca · 02/11/2025 11:02

No need to be bitchy...its a genuine concern

indeed it's ironic when a 'proud to be English poster' requires help from a foreign AI to write simple sentences in... English.

What do you think is the solution ?

More police on the streets. All with tasers.

two nutters who decided to board a train together and start stabbing random people together. Sounds like terrorism…

Nestingbirds · 02/11/2025 11:07

The fact they are ‘British nationals’ is largely irrelevant. I feel like the wording around this is being very careful to water down speculation and to reassure whilst being very deliberately vague.

This was a deliberate, pre planned attack and not a random mental health episode of one person.

We don’t know who was on the train. Maybe they were after a single person. Maybe they were off their heads on drugs.
