Stabbing turns out to be terror related or in a similar vein to incident to recent incidents that were related to immigration ? We don't know the identities yet of the perpetrators. But the fact the Home Secretary is brought in to comment in tabloids and the discussion on LK on BBC today makes me worried its a possibility. The poor people on the train - I cannot even imagine .. ..Starmer needs to tackle knife crime as its rife. What is the answer ? When is there a tipping point ? I don't know but something must be done - I've never paid as much attention other than feeling so terribly sorry for any victims and families. Now I'm starting to get angry when I see anything like this

No... you know thats not what I mean. Of course we can't do that! But we have an opportunity now to change things - to ensure future immigration has assimilation programmes and the like . So that we can prevent in the future similar issues from happening. Its all about learning from the current and preventing for the future in its simplest terms. Do we need to curb immigration ? Yes ! There was a stabbing in North Manchester really close to where I live. I went to the police community meeting (one of them anyway) where quite justifiably the community was angry that the killer had been repeatedly arrested for carrying knives, threatening others with knives and had only had some social service involvement.

They don't criminalise children for carrying knives. Even though they far too often (And I'd argue that one child killed by another is one too many) repeat offending behaviour until they actually kill someone.

There are supposed to be strong penalties for carrying knives. They need to start enforcing these at every opportunity until young people stop carrying knives.
I have no idea how lax they are with adults carrying knives but we need to start treating it seriously.
