I've sort of noticed the direction the 'right' is taking in the UK, although not in a 'deep' way and certainly not as one knowledgeable of the 'nuances' of UK politics.
It seems to me things are starting to get kind of 'Trumpian' there, although nowhere near the way things are here and not to say it will go that way. I don't mean Trumpian in actual governmental policies or actions. Just little things I've read and politicians of a certain ilk have said. Sort of like a small sound in your house that makes you go 'What was that?" but not loud enough to make you get up and look IYSWIM. But I think enough that perhaps people should be a bit concerned and start paying close attention. And becoming politically active. After all, our 'downfall' was in thinking "Oh it could never happen here!" and sitting on our complacent and apathetic arses. And then it did.
I think I read somewhere that Musk is starting to get involved (or try to get involved) in UK politics. It was during my 'dark time' so I didn't pay close attention, but if he starts throwing money at certain political figures the UK could find a DOGE in the UK.
Out of curiosity, does Musk have any kind of citizenship/'nationality' portential in the UK since he was born in a Commonwealth country? Would he be able to hold political office in the UK? He's already holds SA, US, and Canadian citizenship. Maybe he wants to collect another one?
