I've just started watching Luther from the beginning.
It's 15 years old 😱
So good and Idris Elba is so hot

Anything you'd like to rewatch?
I'd love to binge on GoT all the way through, but I've tried several times and then get confused 😆

Cocolapew · 30/10/2025 16:33

Just finished the new seasons of The Dipplomat and Slow Horses.
Waiting for Shetland and Landman to start.
Re watching Luther, Bosch and Foyles War.

DD2 discovered vampire diaries on Netflicks and is working her way though that.

There was a spin off series from that called The Originals. Loads more for your DD2 to watch.

Eyesopenwideawake · 30/10/2025 16:36

The Devil's Hour is brilliant, just starting series 2. Also Mobland, if you can get past the awful Oirish accents of Helen Mirren and (bizarrely) Pierce Brosnan.

Just finished Gen V season 2, which was really good, love the cast.

Also considering starting The Witcher when I get home from work tonight!

I started Gen V but it just seemed a bit OTT, then I started watching The Boys which Gen V stems from...absolutely love it. I'll start Gen V again when I'm done

whirlyhead · 30/10/2025 16:44

I made it through one series of succession and hated it so much I gave up. Everyone in it is horrible!

just finished series 2 of blue lights and loved that, plus am almost through discovery of witches (totally daft but Matthew Goode)

nearly finished slow horses which is ace and have just started series 2 of nobody wants this and am already irritated with the product placement…

Yes - I remember prefering The orginals - apparently there a third spin off round Hope the daughter but haven't seen any of that only short clips people put up.

I didn't see all the programs though first time round as I only saw what was on TV when I caught it- it's something digit TV makes a lot easier - seeing every episode and on your timetable.

momtoboys · 30/10/2025 16:48

I just finished Season 3 of The Diplomat on Netflix! Love it!

SwarmsofLadybirds · 30/10/2025 16:50

I'm rewatching ER! Amd remembering how it is so much better than the modern day equivalents of Greys etc. Really enjoying it as it's years since I watched it first and I've forgotten so much.

SomethingFun · 30/10/2025 16:51

Slow Horses! Absolutely love it and binged it twice, once on my own and once with dh. I’m going to try the new one with Emma Thompson by the same author next. Also waiting for new series of Percy Jackson and Fallout.

"Life Begins" on Netflix from about 2004.

It started off well though every single character is intensely dislikable.

I'm on series 3 now and it's all gone a bit comedy caper.

I've gone from vaguely disliking the meaning woman - Maggie - to absolutely despising her, and wishing she'd set herself some higher standards in life.

Ha I’m also watching that (saw it first time round but had forgotten most of it.)

I’m on S3 too and agree, no one is likeable. I kept thinking how, as a single mum myself, neither of my children behaved liked Maggie’s (although tbf I didn’t bring a man into their home five minutes after breaking up, or in fact at all). I think they are both bad parents and Brenda is awful to Eric.

ithinkilikethislittlelife · 30/10/2025 17:13

We are watching Only murders in the building. Thoroughly enjoying it but as we are watching an episode a night you soon realise the clothes budget keeps join up with each series. Some of Mabel’s are peak!

Middlemarch123 · 30/10/2025 17:21

Life’s pretty hard at the moment, so it’s comfort TV for me, which means watching Gavin and Stacey for the millionth time. I know the lines better than the brilliant cast!

MeAndMyGhost · 30/10/2025 17:23

Bit late to the party, but watching What we do in the shadows. Absolutely brilliant.

Mary46 · 30/10/2025 17:26

JabbaDaButt · 30/10/2025 17:26

For comfort TV, you could try Ugly Betty, which I am watching, free on Channel 4 catch up. Light as candyfloss, over-dramatic, absurd plots, but good fun.

For gentle slow-paced British TV, understated, a bit like the feel of The Royle Family, try the Detectorists. Can't remember which channel but it was a free catch up.

I'm also watching The X-files, Amazon Prime, which has absurd plots in a different way, and is a quite mild thriller/horror thing. There is an overarching plot line that comes and goes, but you don't have to pay attention to it.

I am watching The West Wing - fast paced and complicated at times so you have to pay attention.

Leo800 · 30/10/2025 17:35

I’m on series 5 of Dexter.
Just rewatched Big Little Lies & Little Fires Everywhere. Both brilliant.

CarpetKnees · 30/10/2025 17:35

I'm seeing lots of people mentioning Slow Horses.
I've not heard of it before.
Can anyone give a quick description please?

Crushed23 · 30/10/2025 17:37

I’m rewatching The Inbetweeners from the late 2000s/2010s.
