I've just started watching Luther from the beginning.
It's 15 years old 😱
So good and Idris Elba is so hot

Anything you'd like to rewatch?
I'd love to binge on GoT all the way through, but I've tried several times and then get confused 😆

Chad Powers on Hulu has been unexpectedly very funny and quite heartwarming

WeekendInNewEngland · 30/10/2025 17:39

I’m watching Mad Men for the first time and loving it, also Slow Horses. We’ve just finished all of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (the latest season and especially the last episode are phenomenal) and thinking about watching again from the beginning.

LoudPlumDog · 30/10/2025 17:40

I’m watching Little House on the Prairie for the millionth time. It’s what I need during this difficult time in my life.

I'm seeing lots of people mentioning Slow Horses.
I've not heard of it before.
Can anyone give a quick description please?

It's about a group of ex-M15 operatives who have been thrown out & of course keep getting involved where they shouldn't. Google it, you'll get a better description than this. It's on Apple TV. Season 5 currently but only 6 episodes per season. It's fantastic & Gary Oldman is brilliant, as is Kristin Scott Thomas.

Friendlyfart · 30/10/2025 17:49

I just watched, over six weeks, all of Poldark. Really enjoyed it. It’s over 10 years old but as it’s set in the late 1700c it doesn’t matter!!

Just started The Diplomat but not convinced so far.

Also enjoy on Netflix ‘Nobody Wants This’ and Fisk

Friendlyfart · 30/10/2025 17:50

Slow Horses and Severance so good if you have Apple / we subscribe for a couple of months after Severance so we can binge both in a few weeks.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 30/10/2025 17:51

The Diplomat is great @Friendlyfart stick with it

ItsFridayIminLoveJS · 30/10/2025 17:53

I could re watch Vera over and over again and often do.. same with a Touch of frost.
Anything by Sally Wainright.
Anything with Stephen Graham and/ or Sean Bean.

RedRiverShore5 · 30/10/2025 17:55

I'm ploughing through Criminal Minds at the moment, it's very long, about 360 episodes, only about 150 to go now. Before that it was The Man in the High Castle

In between I have watched The Diplomat, Slow Horses and Sullivans Crossing

For comfort TV, you could try Ugly Betty, which I am watching, free on Channel 4 catch up. Light as candyfloss, over-dramatic, absurd plots, but good fun.

For gentle slow-paced British TV, understated, a bit like the feel of The Royle Family, try the Detectorists. Can't remember which channel but it was a free catch up.

I'm also watching The X-files, Amazon Prime, which has absurd plots in a different way, and is a quite mild thriller/horror thing. There is an overarching plot line that comes and goes, but you don't have to pay attention to it.

I am watching The West Wing - fast paced and complicated at times so you have to pay attention.

Thank you, my DDs used to love Ugly Betty when the lived at home, so have watched most of that. I’ve watched The Detectorists and enjoyed it, And up to date with only Murders in the Building. I usually watch really gritty stuff, absolutely love Peaky Blinders, Luther, Line of Duty…but just can’t get into heavier stuff at the moment. I need familiar stuff right now. So watch an episode of Gavin and Stacey, then another much watched familiar episode of Last Tango in Halifax. Find it comforting. Love to anyone else who’s struggling 💐

If anyone fancies a superb binge watch, try 9-1-1 on Disney plus. All 9 seasons on there, plus 10th just started. It’s soooo addictive and Peter Krause is damn fine in it. I’d climb him like a tree given half the chance 😍

menopausalfart · 30/10/2025 18:00

Slow Horses. Has me gripped.

There are often introductory free offers, or you can just subscribe fir a while. There are so many good things on there (loved Shrinking too) it's worth subscribing for a couple of months at least. I've stopped my netflix subscription but cloning onto Apple.
