Things I don’t do…that apparently everyone else DOES do…

Tonight I put some Nivea on my face but apart from taking my makeup off each day, I don’t have a skin care routine and I don’t use moisturiser that often.

Other things I don’t do…I don’t make the bed every day (might straighten it, but that’s it), I don’t keep takeaway boxes (does anyone?) and I don’t send Christmas cards (never miss a birthday though).

What things do you not do…that most other people seem to do? This is a ‘no judgement’ thread. 😆

I have never been outside in a pair of high heels.

Apart from that think I'm up for almost anything!

I've never had my nails done, that seems to be very popular nowadays.

I have never used any form of self-tanning product or equipment.
I've never been on a AI holiday, or even a beach holiday, I have been to the beach on holiday but not just the beach.

I never dry washing outside as I don’t like how it smells after. I don’t use a tumble dryer just a clothes horse and a dehumidifier.

I don’t use Instagram, Tik tok or snapchat

i don’t watch anything involving celebs or ‘reality’ - so no love island or strictly

i don’t do ‘any’ craft things
i dont paint my nails or have them done
I don’t like cocktails

I don't think not wearing make up is odd. I rarely wear make up these days. Only on days I am in the office or when I go out.

In mumsnet world I am odd because I don't hate ironing, not that I have a lot to do, but I do have some clothes that look awful if I don't iron them.

I just said that I think that there’s a high/higher than usual level of neurodiversity in the mumsnet population.

While the thread title is hyperbolic, taking MN as some kind of social barometer, as well as my acquaintance:

I always answer the door
Never:
had my eyebrows or nails done
had groceries delivered
been on an all-in holiday
had a tumble drier
make the bed daily - how can it be aired if it's made up? Mine is only made when the sheets are changed or a tradie has to access the room.

Mumsnet is absolutely full of posts from people who don't drive, usually alongside a longwinded description of all the issues they're having that wouldn't exist if they did drive.

Apart from using a charcoal scrub about once a week, I just wash with water most of the time, occasionally use a bit of tar soap when I'm in the shower but usually not. Because I don't use make up there isn't so much to wash off on my face, just sun cream in the summer.

But these things are not about you, they are about celebrating your friends.

I rarely iron, if it's a fancy do then I'll steam when possible.
I don't wear makeup, occasionally lippy and mascara if going to a formal do but that's a rare thing.
I wash my face and moisturise every morning but numerous attempts at a night time beauty routine have failed!
Xmas/birthday cards are all sent online these days.
Sorry but I AM hoarder of takeaway containers purely because they make good cat bowls and as soon as they're past their usefulness they're put in the recycling!
Bed sheets/duvet get straightened and shaken out every day and washed once a week or more often if needed.
i consider myself to be very average.

I dont have a TV and never watch any TV programs or shows.

(I do have Netflix etc and watch a lot of films on my laptop)
