Understanding Sarah Ferguson’s loans

violetpink · 19/10/2025 20:27

Why did she have to borrow money from Epstein, and others I believe?
Andrew is super wealthy and I’m sure she’s made money from her Duchess title, such as talk shows and products she’s endorsed.
i just can’t understand her loans. And why anyone would give her one. And why she has debt.
Hopefully some of you know why.
She lives freely with Andrew so no overheads there. Surely it’s a great no no to borrow money from friends.

She doesn’t seem to have any shame. Or maybe she does, and spends to stop herself having to think about it.

I feel a bit sick when I think of what it was like reading the Duchess of Kent’s obituary and what it would be like to read SF’s obituary.

Just went to read it after seeing your comment! The Duchess of Kent sounded like a wonderful woman. ❤️

Do you believe everything that authors write about the RF?
That should be your starting point.

Most of these authors are simply interested in lining their own pockets by turning rumour and gossip into fact.

She was entitled to use Duchess after her divorce, so that's a non starter in criticism.

Not saying she is blameless but at least let's stick to facts and not rumors churned out by authors on a mission.

Edited

Where do you get 'facts' from if not cross-referenced research from a highly respected investigative journalist backed by evidence that has been scrutinised by their legal team?

moto748e · 20/10/2025 10:16

I read the first page, and I think, what a complete POS this woman is. And so many like her, of course. But I hate the idea that some poor fools out there must actually like her; "Poor old Fergie", etc. I suppose it's only the image the tabs have sold us. Grifters should be known as grifters.

ShiftingSand · 20/10/2025 10:18

I'm not sure the degree of truth but I once read she is actually bald and has a wig weaved using 8 golden lion tamarins at cost of 80k a headpiece

This is honestly beautiful. Bravo. 👏

Because it indicates the way that the RF and their hangers on live. Because it shows how rotten the whole institution is? Because it’s a waste of public money. Because this woman was in thrall to a paeophile sex trafficker and receiving huge sums from him to fund her lifestyle . Or don’t you care about any of that?

EverybodyLTB · 20/10/2025 10:29

In what way is criticism of Fergie in poor taste? They are supposed to, up until those titles have been ‘rested’, be representatives of the bullshit monarchy we’re all paying for. Who pays for Royal Lodge? And where does that money come from? All the millions haven’t only come from pedophiles and financiers, much of it has come from the royal purse which comes from us! We are expected to watch them parade around at royal events, despite what they’ve done?

The spending is so relevant because it shows the sheer arrogance and stupidity, but also how they’ve done things like sold royal access and influence to get access to more money. Money they then spend on shit. Do we not think that SF selling access to Andrew to pay for sides of beef (yes I know they’re not the biggest cost 😅) is problematic? That sheiks and oligarchs and Chinese spies can just pay out pocket change, and get access into the top echelons of our society? All this to satiate Fergie’s (and Andy’s) desires for beef and chauffeurs. Her mum was a bitch and her dad was weird - welcome to the club, sis!

Tigercrane · 20/10/2025 10:35

I am not a fan of the royals, but if this is true, even if the other information on here is not true, that she would borrow from Epstein knowing what he had done having herself two girls is pretty low behaviour.Just yuck, actually it's always an eye opener sometimes when you see how low some will stoop, for money.
I by the way don't hate the other royals just think the time for royals should be over, shold we still need them in the modern world.Or would you get Boris Johnson as your president, so maybe stick with the royals.Sorry for waffle.

This. What's really wrong, too, is the whole toxic culture that supports insane behaviour. The waste of food mentioned upthread is just obscene. In a normal world, someone would take her aside and say "Can we take this food home instead of throwing it away?" but presumably no one is "allowed" to mention it and the whole team goes along with the pretence that this is perfectly OK.

I work for incredibly wealthy people. The money spent and the waste is obscene. Thousands upon thousands of pounds spent on clothes that never leave the bags or have the labels taken off. Just sitting there. I can't say to them, do you think you should dial it down a bit or, can I have them if you're not using them. I'd be sacked the same day. I need my job, so I say nothing. It disgusts me but there we go.

PixieandMe · 20/10/2025 10:47

What I find so odd is that she is even still being discussed as they were divorced so many years ago. She clearly clung on to the lifestyle she enjoyed when married to PA extremely tightly! Probably tolerated because of what she had on PA and maybe other members of the RF.

It's sad. I always really liked her, she seemed like a lot of fun. The press were cruel to her and her daughters for the way they looked and dressed and it wasn't fair.

She should have extricated herself from PA and carved a life out for herself somehow and we would be reading much more down to earth news about her now. Photos of her tending her garden with the grandkids or with her rescue dogs etc..

Greed, wealth and power can corrupt, sadly.

I hear you but I guess it’s all relative on a sliding scale NB: not using up M&S food in date & not returning cheaper never worn clothes.

This. I used to stay at an Airbnb where the host had been a housekeeper to the ultra rich.

Her stories were insane. A private jet just to get a pair of shoes in one of their multiple properties.

However she had bought a house in London and got her son through university on that job so she said she just smiled and ignored the outrageous behaviour.

@ShiftingSand 's apparent mindset

"I know what I will do, I will look at active convos, see a thread title about the Royal Family re something that doesn't interest me, read the OP and then take the time to tell everybody else to get a life"

😂😂

Maybe look up the word "ironic" on your way to find threads that are worthy of your time

Agree… Jilly Cooper, who I loved, could also be very extravagant & apparently left boarding schools unpaid re: fees for long periods/tried to bargain/didn’t pay but realised optics I think as these comments not in recent Common Years editions AFAIK. She can’t be compared as so many qualities but the rich do live differently & acquire a ‘taste’. We all do, the ‘flavour’, as Micky Flannagan might say for those of us more ordinary folk.

Yep, definitely all relative. I can be guilty of wasting food and someone else might find that horrifying. SFs spending habits are nothing out of the ordinary though for the super rich. Not paying bills either. I used to work for an extremely wealthy well known family. They regularly didn't pay for things. Taxi drivers would assume they were good for paying, so they'd be allowed to build up debts. They would owe vets thousands. More than one tradesman turned up on their doorstep threatening them if they didn't pay. They shafted so many people and businesses.

I have little respect for any of the RF. OK I don't know any of them personally but I have a feeling that they are all messed up one way or another, and there's not a squeaky clean member of that family at all.

Yes, I know, I've worked for people like that too. Awful.

At least the Royals no longer chop people's heads off, but the culture of grudging "respect" persists...

This is an excellent point. Ordinary people, with businesses have lost money they can ill afford. People haven't been paid for work done, and they have exploited that. Just because they can be cavalier about money doesn't mean other people can.

Because we have a hereditary monarchy that we are supposed to revere and respect, even though we have no say in who these people are.

They receive a lot of taxpayers' money and their financial dealings are not transparent.

We have a prince whose mother gave him £12 million so he could pay to avoid having to appear in a US courtroom to answer questions about his relationship with Epstein and Virginia Giuffre, the under-legal age, sex trafficked girl that he allegedly had sex with.

The release of only a small amount of the Epstein files have revealed that he lied in his interview with Emily Maitliss about the timeline of him cuttting Epstein off. Sarah Ferguson also lied about ending her relationship with Epstein as an apologetic email that she sent to Epstein has revealed.

LeticiaMorales · 20/10/2025 11:25

@thepariscrimefiles I agree, but some people aren't interested in current affairs.

LatteLady · 20/10/2025 11:27

Don't forget that the Queen Mother had a £4M overdraft when she died and it was said to have topped £7M in her lifetime....

Genevieva · 20/10/2025 11:38

Living beyond her means.

The Royal family provides a lavish life and pays a stipend that any of us would feel was more than generous, but it doesn't provide the level of wealth enjoyed by the International superrich. The closest to that is the heir to the throne, who, as Duke of Cornwall, has access to an estate that was created in the Middle Ages with specific protections from the Crown (just incase monarch and heir didn't get on). Andrew and Sarah were given a grand modern house in an expensive location (that they chose) and Anne was given a less expensive (but to my mind far classier) estate in Gloucestershire. Edward lives in an estate that is merely lent to him. Somehow Andrew and Sarah got into so much debt that they had to sell their house, but rather than making them live with the consequences, the Queen gave them an inordinately long lease on a peppercorn ground rent of an even grander estate within Windsor Great Park. Quite how they burn through so much money is anyone's guess, but they do.

Greedy, grasping, indiscreet, amoral, poor man’s Marie Antoinette all passed
off as a the gurning perennial victim of another person’s better luck/judgement/morals. Her and her husband are lower than snake bollocks.
