Understanding Sarah Ferguson’s loans

Why did she have to borrow money from Epstein, and others I believe?
Andrew is super wealthy and I’m sure she’s made money from her Duchess title, such as talk shows and products she’s endorsed.
i just can’t understand her loans. And why anyone would give her one. And why she has debt.
Hopefully some of you know why.
She lives freely with Andrew so no overheads there. Surely it’s a great no no to borrow money from friends.

I’m trying not to wake the whole house laughing about the monkey wigs!!!!

I’ve read ‘Entitled’, the amount of money that slipped through her fingers was totally unbelievable. I believe she lost all sense of reality. The greed, the waste, the expectation, and - yes,…entitlement. What’s the old saying, the higher they climb the further they fall.

Shameful behavior by them both.

Mapletree1985 · 20/10/2025 05:30

Once you start driving in the same lane as the super-rich, money changes it meaning. An income most of us would consider a fortune becomes inadequate to one's "needs". No one ever has enough. It's a great thing to have enough money to live on comfortably, but being super-rich is a curse and often robs people of their humanity.

Viviennemary · 20/10/2025 06:03

She is a huge spender. I remember reading she had run up debts of £4m after her divorce because she continued to employ staff she didn't 't need.

I only recall from what I’ve read over the years, no idea the sources.

She spends disgusting amounts on things she doesn’t even need eg. A house that she’d rent at crazy money (10k pcm or something) then still just stay at royal lodge with Andy Pandy and never set foot in the place. It would be filled with fresh flowers and have staff, cleaners etc. unused laundry being washed, food stocked that nobody will eat, and she’s always had drivers and ladies maid types, there’s been lots of history of having 10-12 staff on the go at once and them not being paid for months at a time.

Holidays she books and doesn’t turn up to, but again they’re things like luxury villas with staff and massages and treatments get booked in but nobody gets cancelled it all just ticks over and the bills come in at the end.

I remember reading that she likes the table set out with a full roast of an evening with all the options so say a whole chicken, a side of beef, and a rack of lamb, then all the trimmings - but then when nobody is actually around for dinner and it just sits there and goes cold and isn’t even given to staff or put in Tupperware, it’s binned! There’s no effort to check round if anyone like her daughters or whoever will be eating, she just says it better be done to a high standard and look like a massive feast, just in case. That might be salacious bullshit I have no idea, but it made me sick to read.

I was reading a book on Chairman Mao recently..it claimed he would eat a kilo of beef and a whole chicken every night, while China had a famine. Sceptics questioned if eating all that every night was humanly possible.

I'm not comparing Ferguson to Mao's level of evil, obviously, but they certainly have a few things in common... 😂

I'm not sure the degree of truth but I once read she is actually bald and has a wig weaved using 8 golden lion tamarins at cost of 80k a headpiece

Actual lol 😁

Pedallleur · 20/10/2025 06:45

What's there to understand? Rich and entitled and in that family living off their largesse trying to run with even richer people. Elton John was rich and could spend himself senseless but go out and make more. She couldn't. The dodgy house deal was grubby but a couple who deserved each other. Note Andrew hasn't had the titles removed just he won't use them and the happy couple won't be out on the streets.

😂 The second half of your post is batshit.

How come? Harry and Magnus lifestyle must cost a fortune too, although they seem better at making cash than the Yorks tbf.

I think they should all get jobs, real ones too, not fake ones like B & E.

Bert & Ernie?

I don’t care either, but why click on the thread? You know what it will be about, surely?

Some people care, others don’t. No need to comment, just pass on by.

GnomeDePlume · 20/10/2025 07:45

I imagine that 'Uncle Jeffrey' was very good at magicking up a bit of cash just before A&S might have had to face facts about spending.

Neither of them is very bright and would never have questioned why they were in receipt of Epstein favours. They were providing 'old money' respectability but they saw it as their right.

Well, it might be a wig. She had breast cancer treatment and then skin cancer.

GinnBitters · 20/10/2025 07:52

What I read recently was that she got £500K from the late Queen to buy a house- that was 30 years or so back - so current value would be much more.

She was given another sum as her divorce settlement- not mega bucks- and roughly £45K a year maintenance.

It was a relatively short marriage and she was young enough to work etc.

I don't understand where the money came from to buy a house in Mayfair for £4m, and which she cold recently at a loss.

I feel sorry for her as I think she has real mental health issues and a personality built on addiction - to food, money, fame etc.
I think- very seriously- she needs professional help.

And on a personal level I feel for her as she's had breast cancer and melanoma.

She seems to lack sensible friends who will be truthful with her.

Do you think they were up agaist some stiff opposition for those jobs? Really???

I don't think tweaking a painting is a job.

LeticiaMorales · 20/10/2025 08:04

At some point though, @GinnBitters , you have to take personal responsibility, and maybe not take massive hand outs from rich men because you choose to have a lavish lifestyle. Then continue to support and be friendly with said men when it's clear what they were up to.

She means financial pressure

Nutmuncher · 20/10/2025 08:10

Watch Any interview with her and it’s clear to see she’s not normal by any stretch. In my mind she’s Fergie from the 00’s and it shocks me every time how much she’s aged yet looks the same. Bizarre

PauliesWalnuts · 20/10/2025 08:14

Hs it ever been confirmed that they are back together as a couple or is it platonic/misery attracts company? I can’t get my head around their domestic set up.

The point is though that if someone has a personality issue (which needs professional help to change) they aren't able to do as you suggest because their judgement is skewed.

I'm not saying she did no wrong; I'm saying her judgement (which should tell her what is morally right and wrong) is skewed.

I am not aware of any massive handouts (unless you mean the £15K.)

MaturingCheeseball · 20/10/2025 08:17

Although uneaten sides of beef is criminally wasteful, and indeed a side of beef is eye wateringly expensive, I don’t think you need to tip up Jeffrey Epstein to cover the cost.

What is mad money is staff. Labour is certainly not cheap. I suppose once you’ve been in the rf or moved in ultra-wealthy circles, a weekly cleaning lady just doesn’t cut it. You want drivers on call, a housekeeper, ground staff, a chef, cleaning staff, a PA etc etc etc.

Edited

I get your point - Sarah had a troubled upbringing, her mother ran off a South American toyboy to Argentina in the 1970s when she was a teenager and her old man was a bit odd so its no wonder she struggled through adult life. No excuses to what she has done though because at some point you have to take responsibility for your actions, which she has never done.

Unfourtantely Sarah could never control her spending habits, she's been quite enterprising over the years - Weight Watchers, QVC, childrens books etc but it was never enough to fund her extravagant lifestyle.
