It was discussed on Politics North West this morning, an excellent discussion with Labour, Conservative and Green Party politicians, all of whom were critical of her remarks - Conservative Asian heritage and Green Black heritage.

The problem with having a 'philosophy of saving money' is that you inevitably end up with a non chocolate 'chocolate' biscuit bar. People, consumers are not easily fooled.

Philp has now backtracked on LBC Lewis Goodall show saying what Pochin said was racist. But Jenrick's remarks about Handsworth in Birmingham wasn't. Clearly he's confused.

Pedantically it's more accurate to say the MSM reporting was not of the same quality and depth that would have been applied had (for example) Angela Rayner made those comments.

The conclusion being that Reform MPs are inherently racist - so it's not news.

Tory deportation plan clarified by Philp:

3. Leave the ECHR
4. Apply threshold to ILR to those here
