Vinted Seller here. Help

Hi I am being hassled by a buyer over a £3 top I sold her. She wants a refund as it's too small. She's sent me a photo of the sleeves up her arm. The top is a 3/4 sleeve top and it says that in the description. Which I showed her and she said it doesn't fit anyway. She has asked Vinted to step in too. I have sent photos and of the description to Vinted. Now waiting for them to get back to me. I told the buyer to just resell it as it would cost her as much as the top to return. But she's insisting she doesn't want it as it doesn't fit and it would have to go in the bin otherwise. This is stressing me out!

This is a common scam with cheap items. She's trying to get you to refund her and let her keep it because cost of return isn't worth it. Basically she wants it for free.

I’d accept the return with her paying the postage. She probably won’t return it but it sets a deadline for it to be returned or you to get paid

I counted 15 white stripes on the sleeve in your photo but only 5 are visible in the image she took claiming she has had to stretch the sleeve. So what has she done with other two thirds of the sleeve? Very dodgy buyer

What a fucking loon, do people really have this much time on their hands?

Is the cuff meant to be wiggly? Or has she actually cut the sleeves shorter?

I sell on Vinted, I would let Vinted decide. Not fitting isn't a reason to refund or return, it's the risk you take.

I thought the same @Hohumdedum it looks like she’s cut the sleeve in the last image! What a nightmare over £3. I’ve had plenty of things that don’t fit but that’s on me if you clearly displayed the brand/size and I didn’t ask for additional measurements. I hope Vinted sort this out but definitely block her after this is resolved. Don’t want her coming back!

Yes there was a frill edge to the sleeves and hem. The top was in excellent condition. Looking at the marks on it in her first photo I wouldn't even want it back. The 2nd photo she sent of the sleeves being shorter again, she has deleted. But I took a copy before she did that. Plus as another poster said above the body seems to fit her in that photo.

If I get a nutter like this, thankfully rare, I just agree the return and refund but AT THEIR EXPENSE.

If you do this, you look perfectly reasonable and she can’t leave you a bad review. Sure, you have to sell it again, but I wouldn’t give her the satisfaction.

She can’t leave return it, paying postage, or keep it. Only options.

I had similar and Vinted found in my favour. It was correctly labeled and advertised but the sizing was small. I’d done my bit, so it was tough luck on the buyer - one of the risks of buying on Vinted

I’d get her to send it back, at her expense. If it’s ruined, you’ve only lost £3, but she’s lost her £3 as well. As others have said, don’t fall into the trap of letting her keep it, and getting a free top.

There are six white lines on the sleeve in her picture. Lots more on yours . She's bunching the sleeve up. She's trying to get a free top. A chancer.

You could ask for a return - at the buyers expense it will then give her 5 days to start the return.

If she returns the item and it is not in the same condition that you sent it you can then raise an issue.

Make sure you take screenshots of everything - especially of messages with her saying it does not fit as that is not a reason for a return, unless the seller agrees.

I would not engage any further if you are waiting for vinted to decide, let her carry on sending messages, just don't respond.

If vinted say no return they will complete the transaction and she can leave feedback, you can respond underneath to any she leaves and also leave your own on her account.

If you decide to accept a return no feedback can be left on either side.

Hi .... Thank you for getting back to me. I don't know what proof you need from the buyer. She is saying it is too small for her. There is nothing wrong with the top. It was in excellent condition when I posted it. The correct size was shown on the description, it matches the label. Plus the top was under the category 3/4 sleeve tops. Plus I added this to the description. Thank you

She’s gathered it right up into her armpit 🤦🏻‍♀️. You can see the numerous creases which isn’t normal if the sleeve was properly pulled down as far as it could go.

Well she's already left her feedback. My first ONE star ever!

don't like leaving bad reviews but i'd like to say she refused to let me return a 3 pound top since 3 pounds are a lot of money for her clearly. the top doesn't even fit me and now will be thrown away as it's sad as i don't have space for clothes. beware,she doesn't allow people to return even if the item doesn't fit.
