Tea or coffee if we have any instant in.

We’ll probably have run out of milk though.

I’ve got green tea but it’s mine (and no bugger likes it anyway).

inamo · 02/10/2025 15:48

Before I start I don't drink alcohol, but I do make the following for others -

Hot honey, lemon and whiskey for a cold.

and,

Probably most of them + other flavoured tea and flowering teas + various coffee pod varieties + half a dozen types of hot chocolate, horlicks and other malted drinks and Bovril. (Partly my DD very into all sorts of teas and infusions.) And if I like you a lot a nice hot toddy to cure what ails you!

LittleCarrot12 · 02/10/2025 15:51

Instant coffee or tea. Maybe hot chocolate at Christmas

KawasakiBabe · 02/10/2025 15:51

PG Tips
Morrisons own brand coffee

i keep them in incase someone visits.

I don’t drink anything hot, ever. I hate the taste of T & C, I used to drink an occasional hot chocolate but realised it made me feel a bit sick, so stopped.

Bumblebee72 · 02/10/2025 16:04

I'm in Yorkshire so essentially its "Tea" or piss off. Possibly an instant coffee, but if you starting talking about flat white lattes you can go right back to London.

frozendaisy · 02/10/2025 16:06

Oh you can improve on that list @hexsnidgett
there are loads more herbal flavours
plus a variety of green teas
white tea

Coffee caf/decaf
Herbal tea x 4 different flavours
Cadbury hot chocolate

So 19/20.

I'd normally only offer the teas or coffee though.

HouseOfGuineaPigsReturnsWhereSheLeftOff · 02/10/2025 16:13

8 types/flavours of hot choc
6 varieties of coffee, all instant
1 type of cocoa
25 types of herbal/decaf/fruit tea- I have loads.
2 types of "normal" black tea, Yorkshire and Earl Grey.

Who is bringing the biscuits though? I'm trying not to keep those things in my house! 😋

FancyCatSlave · 02/10/2025 16:14

There’s some old generic teabags somewhere but no milk. There’s also some instant coffee.

I don’t drink any hot drinks or milk so don’t buy them often. If I know I am having guests I buy milk in and will make more effort. But I think all hot drinks are vile.

I do have a good soft drink/cordial selection though with a choice of waters.

isitmyturn · 02/10/2025 16:16

Not much of the savoury variety mentioned?
I'm currently nursing a cold and yearning for something hot and salty like bovril, miso or even just marigold stock.

Jewelledslice · 02/10/2025 16:19

Instant coffee
Instant espresso coffee
Instant decaf coffee
Normal tea
Decaf tea
Mint tea
Jasmine green tea
Nettle tea
Rooibos tea
4 x different hot chocolates (Caramel, dairy free, normal, dark!)

I'd say that's normal!
