I don't think your list is that unusual OP, it's mostly long because of a few different types of herbal/ fruit tea. I keep in what me and DH drink but also have a variety of random teas I bought but never drunk 😅It is good to have them in for guests though, as long as they haven't gone stale.

I have low calorie hot chocolate and instant decaffeinated coffee (I’m allergic to caffeine before the ‘what’s the point’ posts start flooding in).

Peony1985 · 02/05/2026 15:31

Only black instant coffee really.

Out of date tea bags or fruit tea but
I don’t have any milk and only caster or dark brown sugar.

I have lots of wine and fizzy water,

Lemon and ginger tea
Chai/ spiced tea
Green tea
Some other kind of herbal/ green tea I bought in Iceland when we were on holiday and I couldn’t find mint
Instant coffee
Some kind of mint aero flavour coffee (was in a hamper, we don’t like it but haven’t chucked it for some reason)
Hot chocolate (galaxy instant)
Cadburys hot chocolate (the one you do with milk)
Ovaltine (the proper stuff you do with milk)
cocoa - have it for baking but guess I could do it as a drink if requested
Cola-cao brought back from Spain
Could do you a hot squash if requested though not really something we do in our house
Could also do you a honey and lemon I guess, and there’s probably some lemsip knocking around in the medicine cupboard

It looks a lot written down but it doesn’t particularly take up loads of space so I’m not too worried

OlderGlaswegianLivingInDevon · 02/05/2026 20:23

Oh dear, you better not come to my house.

I was going to offer a workman a hot drink a couple of months ago, found the instant Nescafe coffee was so old and unopened that it was one large lump
quickly checked the teabags and oh dear they were well out of date.

We don't drink / like tea or coffee in this house.

i can offer orange squash, Ribena, original Lucozade, lemonade, diet lemonade, Irn Bru, Vimto and some sort of mango fizzy
or full fat milk
or water out of the tap !
