Nicole Kidman and Keith urban split

Really shocked to read this. I’ve always been quite fascinated by her and why Tom Cruise and she split. She’s always tried so hard to present her second marriage as perfect. It’s quite sad.

always seemed an oddly suited pair. With that did seem they were very loved up on the red carpet appearances and in his more recent music tour. GO FUG YOURSELF website always described them as “each others support person” seemingly always seeking a hand to hold on appearances like a red carpet.

they both have regrettably cosmetically altered faces and I never understood why she or her stylist didn’t help him modernize his hair style to a more flattering look

This thread is horrible. Just an excuse for multiple posters to take a pop at two famous people we actually know very little about other than their public personas.

I saw a blind item reveal about them just last week and it was that one of them was cheating- I can’t remember now which one it was! I think it was him, I’ll have to go back and see if I can find the item again.

Hardly horrible. Just chatting about two people in the public eye who ,lets face it, dont mind courting publicity when it suits them.

For context, I’m Australian - I see them as two Aussies who were well suited to each other. Yes, there is a persona that Nicole presents professionally, but in casual moments you can still see the fun loving, knock around kid from BMX Bandits. I see the same laid back, Aussie larrikinism in Keith. I thought those characteristics worked well and I’m really sorry to see them break up. I’m sure the stresses of both their jobs, and the need for them to be away from home, has contributed to the decision. I wish them both well.

Aren't they both into their own sexes? Same as Hugh Jackman? She's always had a rep with trying to stay young looking and successful. That said, her performance in Big Little Lies really was excellent.

She lost her mum last year and has no doubt suffered. I think losing a beloved parent can naturally lead us to thinking about our own lives and making drastic changes.

She’s always come across as awkward in interviews quite a nervous person. Never understood why her and Tom adopted 2 kids yet went on to have 2 biological kids with Keith and him with Katie. Her mum died recently who she was very close to so maybe that had something to do with how she is feeling who knows? I guess it’s their business but unfortunately being in the public eye it will be everyone’s

Well, if you've read the four day newspaper serialiastion of the Tom Cruise-Nicole Kidman split AND the Katie Holmes book on her moving on post Tom Cruise, you'll realise the TC personality and the scientology connection bring on a sort of "buyer's remorse" after 15-30 months of connection/marriage.

TC is a wonderful affable self-publicity machine until the gloss wears off.

He initiated the split apparently. She is more or less living in Britain now.

I can't believe she's put up with his hideous hairstyle so long, I'm very shallow.

My son is short. He is only 7 but has known he is shorter than average fronted when he was 4 and it always upsets him. No, he is unlikely to have a growth spurt that will make him taller as I am very short and dad is average. Comments like these make me sad that even grown ups will see him as less than, as less deserving of a certain type of woman (or man) because he is shorter than average. Hopefully such people will be fewer and fewer

I think she’s just very shy. She says this herself. I doubt very much she has substance addiction. He was the one with addictions when they got together. She supported him through that. It’s sad to see how she’s ruined her looks and she seems to be on an eternal quest to look youthful and works all the time. She doesn’t seem to know how to just relax and be. I imagine she’s hard work to live with. It’s very sad anyway.

Personally I was never a fan of NK's acting (except in Dead Calm). But I am sad to hear this. I thought they were a lovely couple and I think she went through absolute hell with Tom Cruise. Their adopted children apparently refuse to see her as my understanding is that for Scientologists once you are out you are effectively excommunicated even from your family. That must have been so painful. So I was happy she had found happiness.

Agree. Most would rather pick a man with a bad personality or an abuser. But as long as it fits into societies beauty standards eh. Have to be the big strong tall man protecting the petite little lady.

I always think khloe kardashian decides her bfs have to be taller than her and black. If she considered their personality abit more maybe she wouldn't be humiliated and hurt by cheaters. She's too insecure having a shorter bf will make her look manly.

It's fine for women to judge men on an element of their appearance they can't control but God forbid a man do the same to a woman.
