Kuenssberg interviewing Starmer, this question is about Reform's deportation plan

It is "immoral" and "it is fundamental to who we are as a country"

"It is a completely different thing to sat we are going to reach in to people who are legally here and remove them. They are our neighbours" + it is about the type of country we are.

"It goes to the soul of our future"

Is it a racist policy?

PM: "I do think it is a racist policy. I think it is immoral. It needs to be called out for what it is"

Laura K: Is Reform appealing to racists?

PM is not calling Reform voters racist. They are frustrated at failures of politics. He understands that.

Alan Johnson is on. Nicola Sturgeon singles him out in her book as by far the best politician and cabinet minister she dealt with (she contrasts him with Burnham, interestingly...)

Starmer says Farage would cosy up to Putin and threaten Britain’s security.

Starmer says Farage would cosy up to Putin and threaten Britain’s security.

He’s not wrong.

Starmer is absolutely right to call this out. The message must be vocalised continuously because those at the back are clearly not paying attention.

Oh I must be at the back! Why does Starmer say this please?

Can’t copy the actual Facebook post (by Man Behaving Dadly), but this made me laugh this morning, re the women’s rugby triumph:

‘They look like men hahaha’
Not really Keith. They’re waving a trophy and medals around.

Great day for sport yesterday with the rugby cup final, and also the European Ryder Cup team trashing the US. (It’s not won yet though)

DuncinToffee · 28/09/2025 10:33

I read that the US crowd aren't enjoying the occassion

Farright has and is cosying up to Putin. There's not need to foretell it.

MrsMacliveshere · 28/09/2025 10:43

Perhaps watch the interview and then write to Starmer with your questions?

Major Donor to Reform U.K. Party Sold Parts Used In Weapons to Russian Supplier
The aerospace company H.R. Smith Group was an early backer of the party after Nigel Farage became leader. Reform has faced criticism over comments seen as supporting Moscow.

I was responding to Jane's post. I was not trying to prove anything to you as I don't feel the need to. Welcome to the thread, though.

I am sure that has given MrsMac at least some pointers

🤢 - Farage - nearly stopped me watching election night as I knew I should see him 🤢 - but proof of his ill doing is always good.
Someone on SUTR group suggested calling Farage out for liking Putin (before today) to put followers off - though I think it’s fairly well known and I’m actually not sure that some hard of thinking Reform voting wouldn’t even see bear riding, no prisoners Putin as an ok guy, or wouldnt admire how he is rather than who he is (as I believe Frog tried to pretend was his view). Hopefully not so many though and why should Starmer dance around saying exactly who this Farage character is - glad people are starting to do so, hopefully some at least will listen.
Edited for typo

Farright is on record saying that the attack on Ukraine was Ukraines fault for not doing what Putin said and they should accept the consequences of that decision.

This means that Reforms defence policy will be to invest in a big white flag (now you know why all the knuckle dragging supporters are being trained how to hoist flags) and roll over at the first hint of aggression.

Because i Farright land, wars start when people do not do what Russia tells them to to.

I can only imagine this isn't being used against Reform now as there is so much less esoteric stuff to delve into.

Nigel Farage criticised for saying West provoked Ukraine war

The Reform UK leader told the BBC that "of course" the war was President Vladimir Putin's fault.

Shouts - are you hearing all this MrsMac?

SerendipityJane · 28/09/2025 11:06

Incidentally, I thought the faux "Oh, I never knew that, show me ..." line of plopping had been discouraged at the last shitterfest ? Apparently it looks good for a moment but then when the evidence is dropped into the discussion it remains there for all to see and just revives the fire a bit.

Seems now everyone can be bothered to attend these days. Which has always been a perennial problem for budding English revolutionaries. It's very easy to whip a froth and make it seem like its a popular movement. But normal people really haven't got the stamina, especially when real life intrudes. And you can end up with a hardcore of obvious agitators which reveal the heart of the matter.
