I've got a horrible feeling that Thomas Skinner has been invited onto Strictly to monitor the far right vote. After all, the BBC is giving a lot of airtime to Reform and Skinner is being courted by Reform and the Conservative Party (well by Jenrick).

He's hopeless at dancing, though may be kept for the comedy aspect by voters.

DuncinToffee · 21/09/2025 16:52

I see our monitors managed to get Jane's post deleted Hmm

Which one ? I've had to switch to paged mode and CBA to go back.

11.25 am post, it's between 2 of mine which is why I noticed. I can't remember what you said so it can't have been that provoking.

I think I've fallen into an alternative reality, apparently people can now become leopards, but only sometimes.

Wtf.

And this is what the Tories call 'capitulating to the hard left'

If anyone thinks Reform are the solution, they aren't intelligent. They may have a wall of degrees, but I wouldn't trust them with matches.

😂How true.

Ah, that was the one where I said that it was clearly such a sensible and caring thing to support Reform that only someone with an axe to grind would suggest anything to the contrary.

Clearly I was a little ambiguous in my hasty wording.

Pleased to have cleared that up.

Oh, maybe not, following @placemats quote.

I remain mystified (generally my usual state of being, admittedly. When it's not bewildered).

My post about young people not voting Reform was a reply to your deleted post.

Ah, yes. Where I noted that young people had been right royally shafted by Nigel Farages Brexit and they are most likely not gong to forget that in a hurry.

E2A: - no I now remember the comment. It was bemoaning the cost of flights to Switzerland.

If everyone talked about his tax avoidance, he would soon be broke. That's assuming he's true to his word, of course.

The press should treat Nigel Farage's stamp duty story in exactly the same way they treated Angela Rayner's.
For reasons of equality.

Oh Steve Baker with his kingmaker fantasies. Just Brexit all over again.

I heard him on the BBC the other day; he’s a podcaster now. From the way he spoke, he’s drifted away from the way politicians talk to something really odd sounding, with theories of internationalism and regionalist politics… had to be asked dumb it down a bit for Radio 4!

MaybeNotBob · 21/09/2025 19:14

Ah, would that be "Brexit Hard Man" Steve Baker by any chance?...
