It's been 9 horrible months and I find myself looking back on those "eating the cats and dogs" days with nostalgia.

Difficult to tell the difference between a man who has lied as he breathed all his life and Trump with incipient dementia.

Yet Trump and WH deny he has dementia. He has it. He stands leaning forward, slurs, talks nonsense.
His father had it.

@Jaichangecentfoisdenom thanks for the link up post.

Autocracy is only an insult away would make a great slogan on a hat.

Trump said he didn't know Mandelson. The receipts says he did. Is Trump's memory failing - no laughing matter for a man of his advanced years.

but that's what he does.
'never new the guy'

nothing to do with his memory

Nobel Peace Prize latest

Trump’s plan to re-occupy Bagram Air Base in Afghanistan - announced in London - is going to require a mini-invasion, Reuters reports - 10,000 military personnel and significant air defences.

That will make how many countries where Trump is not-at-war then??

Yep

Never knew the guy
I don't know about that
No one has told me about this
I haven't heard this

and so on

Pardon, what?

No, actually don't tell me. I can't take any more today.

I'll take a deep breath and sidle up to this one when I'm feeling a little more robust...

TokyoSushi · 19/09/2025 14:07

Yes, mess about in Afghanistan again, that's going to be well received...

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 19/09/2025 14:36

Theorising that they want to use it as a site for deportations

That's unfortunate (if unsurprising) considering how much many of us were looking forward to discovery. I was going to replace my Jimmy Kimmel viewing time with that.

I wonder if they'll make another run at it or just rant about the crooked, left-wing judiciary...

That WSJ lawsuit seems a bit quiet at the moment

But he signed Afghanistan over to the Taliban so he could blame Biden for leaving the country!

stoow · 19/09/2025 19:58

I just seen a photo of him as he was going for state dinner. His hands look blue with right hand half covered with very pale foundation to it actually shows up more disguise his bruised hand from some sort of IV.

Media in USA say he has congested heart
failure. As sometimes he sounds breathless

MsJinks · 19/09/2025 21:56

My Mum had heart failure - you can still go on forever - well not quite, but it’s not as imminently fatal as it sounds. Quite common to need de-fluid ing so not sure his pop intake will help.
Definitely got some dementia there as well though.
Baffling he got to be the most powerful person in the west - for more reasons than age related issues of course, but even just those are too much.

I've had heart failure for at least four years, and my heart function is now down below 25%, so I'm very glad to hear that!

Funnily enough I seem not to have any fluid retention to speak of, and they are more concerned that I should drink plenty of water for the sake of my kidneys than that I cut down on fluid intake.

Oh - I’m sorry my post was insensitive, apologies. Hope you are doing ok. It’s just sometimes I think some folk think this heart failure, which looks likely, means a probable shorter presidential term than the orange one wants so I thought I’d say.
My ma was not supposed to overdrink but equally not dehydrate, but maybe that’s to do with other stuff going on, or the stage it’s at? Or maybe just different approaches.
I felt awful when someone told me hf patients shouldn’t have coffee - I’d been giving it her for years - I don’t think it impacted anything, I also couldn’t get it verified so who knows.
Take care of yourself.
