Cardiff used to be the place to go for journalism, so I imagine they've done their homework. As I said earlier the idiot who was calling the shooter Antifa all over BBC was clearly right wing and stirring the pot of division. They did the same with the trans debate. We need to be able to trust our national media to be unbiased and reflect the country, not the clickbait. They don't need it as not funded by adverts which is the whole point!

As well as what we all need. Much more efficient than the low-level things we all have nowadays. Water-saving and all that.

And in a crisis you could use the chain for throttling people.

Our house, when we bought it, had a high cistern toilet in a separate toilet 'room' next to the bathroom which DH (as an American city boy) found very odd. We eventually re-did the bathroom and put a new low level loo in the one room. The 'toilet room' now sans toilet is still known as the 'toilet room cupboard' and still has the backboard that the high cistern was attached to on the wall. I sort of wish we'd kept it now.

He was also horrified that a couple of houses we looked at still had their outside 'privy' intact but doubling as sheds and by carpeted bathrooms - also still around then! (1994) 😂

I've been to Windsor Castle with my late ex Welsh MIL. Still have the Christmas tree bauble she bought me then. We walked the long walk. There's no way 🍊 would do that. Not a chance.

@Spandauer All of our street had a privy. Did you have a paraffin lamp in there in the winter to stop it from freezing? I helped my dad knock ours thru to make a bigger kitchen in the 90s. I spent hours chipping the lime mortar off the bricks to reuse them.😁

Interestingly there is a thread where a mother was so distraught that her son was going on this march because he only had an idle interest in all of that and was going with mates (he a teen)
