A chat thread for those who don't like this Labour government.

The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money.

Yeah, I mean, he just always looked greying and sickly and now, well anyway, moving swiftly on...

Good to see Mandelson gone and I hope we get some accountability for either the vetting procedures or tactical blind spots.

Don't hold your breath, it will be "nothing to see here"

I'm not 100% on this, but I believe the 328 days is about Gaza and the death of a Hamas leader.

Ah, thanks. And she’s senior in Labour Friends of Israel.

Poor woman. This really is fucking shocking.

Yes, I expect you're right.

What an absolute fiasco of the highest order.

DenizenOfAisleOfShame · 11/09/2025 11:39

As an aside, when I googled Mandelson’s quote about the rich, I came across this, which I hadn’t seen before. Made me chuckle loudly (apologies if old hat):

Just been reading Grauniad article re: horrific arson attempt on the office of Sharon Hodgson. Must have been incredibly scary for her and her staff 😔:

"we must have security and safety to go about democratic debate in this country, whatever our views, in a safe and secure way.”

Maybe someone needs to tell certain Left supporters that other opinions are allowed and that people who disagree with you aren't automatically thick/racist or paid by an opposition party!

Anyone remember the atrocious heckling Jess Phillips got on the campaign trail? Her leafleters intimidated. Couldn’t get through her acceptance speech without them trying to shout her down…

Starmer and integrity: Do they belong in the same sentence?

Sure they do:

Starmer has no integrity.

BBC's interpretation of the number of MPs supporting the candidates for DL (80 needed by this afternoon to progress):

Emily Thornberry - 13 (withdrawn)
Bell Ribeiro-Addy - 15

Why does he bother with that ‘full confidence’ stuff. Hopefully another political hit to the polls

And the treatment Labour MP (as was) Rosie Duffield received both on and off camera, from her own party? Just because she er.. she.. she. .. understands biological sex matters..

Oh yes, the standard of viciousness the last 5 years has made me long for the good old days of 1995-what about 2010?

Looks like another stitch-up. So if no-one else reaches the magic number, does that mean BP will win by default?
