Ah, a pure coincidence as to the timing then.

Got it.

Anything done within the timeframe of running government that’s a manifesto pledge isn’t coincidence of timing.

It’s a stated aim being down whilst in charge. Maybe the protests are the coincidental timing? More likely as the RW are protesting against the hotels the RW put the asylum seekers in once the RW lost power!

Im not particularly LW and not staunch Labour but even if not auspicious about this one!

I’m an atheist. I spend more time in churches than most vicars. Addiction to church music means I sing it a lot. Here’s a bit of me (and about 40 mates) on tour.

That is wonderful cardi

Even if it were feasible, there will be ranks of human rights lawyers ready to kibosh that number of repatriation flights.

Oh my Cardi absolutely beautiful 👏
had a lovely day out with my dgd’s at Hever Castle, was very busy with families lots of tourists everyone pleasant & polite children playing nicely together in the adventure playgrounds, it’s good to get out sometimes & be reminded that not everyone is full of bitterness & hate, that nasty nasty specimen who was released today can get tae fuck, shame they can’t be locked back up for spouting crap.

ThatbloodyRoblox · 22/08/2025 20:45

Re the LC love in, I have watched a little few snippets and… she said she posted in pure rage and it was about a week before the riots (?) so why then was this aimed at asylum accommodation?
she said she was raging due to the cover ups after losing her son. Why not the previous treacherous government ( who weee in charge then.
It makes no sense, it is a bag of racist shite.
Sadly Starmer will be knackered either way… imagine the uproar if her licence was revoked and see the damages her interviews do otherwise.
Not a nice person and absolutely courting other wrong ones. ☹️

But to WHERE??????

from the Times

His plan would take Britain out of the European Convention on Human Rights and derogate from the UN Convention Against Torture and other international agreements.

Reform UK, Farage’s party, would introduce emergency legislation known as the illegal migration (mass deportation) bill, which would bar those who come to the UK on small boats from claiming asylum. While awaiting deportation, they would be held in detention centres on “surplus” RAF bases.

Reform would seek to sign deals with Afghanistan, Eritrea and other countries that are big sources of small-boat migrants, despite claims of human rights abuses by their governments.

The party would also look to “third countries” such as Rwanda and Albania to house asylum seekers and seek to use British overseas territories such as Ascension Island as a “fallback” if people could not be sent elsewhere.

It's a work of fiction and he says he doesn't care if people might get tortured or killed in Afghanistan

Pie in the bloody sky, as always, but stupid people will fall for it.

MyNameIsX · 22/08/2025 20:50

Meanwhile, Cooper is using taxpayers' money to fund an appeal so that she can continue doing something that taxpayers don't want.

You need to follow his logic to it's sick end. If the UK is seen to be returning people fleeing oppressive regimes back into the open arms of those regimes, it's win-win. The regime gets to make examples of people who dare to try and flee, and the UK gets some blood money deals in return. And (as with slavery) the people of the UK will see fuck all.

Lawyers can only kibosh things that are illegal.

You know and I know that the Human Rights Act has been abused, countless times, often using legal aid.

Many areas of law are open to interpretation, and the judiciary is not apolitical.

Let’s agree to disagree.

The judiciary absolutely is apolitical.
We can agree to disagree on the basis there’s no point in arguing with you, given you’ve already decided you are right despite actual facts.

I was thinking the same. Even if the interviews contravene the terms of her licence, the optics of sending her back to prison would be terrible.

As for her tweeting a week before the riots...her tweet was on 29th July. The first violence started the next day. If she is getting that mixed up, I don't think she'll get far with suing the police or whatever.

I wonder if she'll be guest of honour at Yaxley-Lennon's September knees up for the racists?

What utter fuckwhittery is happening!?
Honest Bob up ladders
Nige suddenly liking “oink ball”
Chris Philips just being fucking useless as usual!
Kemi pretending there is nothing to see here.
Ed Davey can’t get a say.
Tommy ten names, Dan Wooton, Alison Pearson etc looking like they are invincible.
We are better than this. We deserve better than this.
Posting racist shit is never ok.

In cat 🐈‍⬛ tax news we are looking to adopt a cat. Has anybody used pet rehomer? We have seen a cat that we think would suit us. ( my son has fell in love )
I have looked at our local rescue cats and they all seem older cats - with some health issues or new kittens. I was hoping for a bonded pair but my son really wants a lap cat.

I got a cat that everyone loved but he wasn't a lap cat, though loved sleeping with me and the dc. Two years old with heart issues and we had him for seven lovely years. I miss him so much. He was a rescue cat.

It most certainly is a work of fantasy fiction and 100% unlikely to happen. LC will continue to be raging.
