Witches - spell help

lastminutetrip · 14/08/2025 11:09

Hey, looking for some advice as in all the years of spell work I have never had this happen before.

i did a spell on the full moon, all very well intentioned, to help me save money. I lit a candle in a special place to me, set my intention, and the candle blew out quite quickly. It was near a window, so I took it to mean spell completed ie wish made.

i took the candle home and lit it again later on the lionsgate portal night to strengthen my resolve. The wax kind of dripped on to my finger and burned me a lot. I’ve never had that happen before. I looked it up and some say it’s a warning (what can it be warning me about, it’s literally just to make me save money 😂) or - very differing view - the spell needed some kind of karmic or energy payment from me, and I “paid” with the burn to add strength and resolve to the spell.

any thoughts? I’ve done this a long time and never cast bad or ill intentioned spells so I don’t know what this was about! Has someone hexed me?

blessed be x

Hey all @ihatewasps is a troll... Don't feed it..

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/08/2025 22:29

You mean incredible.
Only people can be incredulous.

yep, was a mis-type, i meant to put 'i'm incredulous' but then changed my mind half way through the sentence, went to change it, messed up and didn't notice until it was too late to edit, lol.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 15/08/2025 22:40

My favourite explanation for all of this is that we incarnate here, literally for experience

And my favourite explanation for all this is that the OP accidentally spilled hot wax on her thumb.

No, she isn't.
@IHateWasps doesn't think that it's possible to cast spells.

And neither do I, for the record.

That doesn't mean that either of us is a troll.

It’s chat not The Unexplained so I’ll feel free to comment on it if I wish thank you.

This nonsense is harmful, not innocent at all.

How can it be nonsense and harmful?

It's not my thing, but I light candles, sniff spices and bless bread so each to their own

Mere1 · 15/08/2025 22:51

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 14/08/2025 11:21

Oh don't be so silly!
It's impossible to cast spells.
I can't believe anyone believes in this nonsense.
🤣🤣

Totally agree.

Mere1 · 15/08/2025 22:52

SirRaymondClench · 15/08/2025 21:32

Just so we are clear, OP hasn't asked anything from you, and you can't answer her question. She isn't trying to sell you anything, nor convince you or anyone else of anything.
So why ARE you so triggered that you keep trying to dominate a thread on a subject you've no interest in?
Even after you've said you were off to watch Jane Austin?

Ironic really because Julia Donaldson told me trolls hang out with witches.

ThisSparklyViper · 15/08/2025 23:06

If you believe in magnetism then you can sort of get on board with spells.

If your thoughts influence your actions, then surely your actions are who you are, and what you bring about.

I also think that it is extremely naive to just believe that everything about the nature of reality is everything we have been taught in 2025.

We’ve all had something weird happen.
And I’ve had some weird stuff happen with spells. 🪄

Once I was living in a sharehouse and I was so sick of it (not the greatest place and a lot of them were being arseholes) that I went to my room and started on a spell.

Let me tell you, that spell was full of anger and passion. Plus some spicy herbs!

Then I manifested the most amazing opportunity. A beautiful gorgeous room- I mean massive, in a beautiful home. I had room for all my things, a huge bay window with a princess turret, and enough room to dance (one of my favourite hobbies).

I guess you could say it was a boarding house situation in a nice home, as there were two extra spaces for other people, who were students.

It soon turned out the lady hosting this place was an absolute nutcase who screamed at me out of nowhere regularly, even though I kept to myself. She mentioned something about not liking my confidence. I was simply happy. I had to move out quickly because she was psycho, but what I realised is that spell was very powerful. It somehow zhunked into my experience everything I wanted except what was holding me back. Yes me. Because I think that lady was a distilled example of every disapproving mean and horrid vibration, opinion, fear or judgement I had ever allowed to be in my mind.

I thank it because it was a great experience.

Be careful with spells!

FenywHysbys · 15/08/2025 20:38

whether you believe in it or not, spells are a complex construct of belief, focus, and attention to detail. I myself would not relight a candle unless the spell requires a section of candle to be burned for, say, seven days or for each night leading up to or away from a full moon. The spurt of wax could be a warning to pay attention or indicate that something is missing or not precise.

There is a meme somewhere that says it’s all very well making fun of a witch, but if they ask you for some of your hair, would you laugh and hand it over?!…

Edited

Why should someone be scared to give a self identified witch their hair? What would happen to them if they had been laughing at a witch and the witch got hold of some of their hair? Do witches carry out evil spells? Do they want to frighten people, control them and do bad things to them? Is that ethical behaviour?

Ok. Back to the believers now.

I'm actually so sad that there is still so much vitriol and hatred for witches 💔
We are healers who use nature to guide us and this has always been hated by many.
Blessed Be - and you all have the day you deserve ♥️

I don't think anyone hates you...some of us just find it a bit daft that you expect us to join in your game of make believe.

Lifestyle and beliefs is one thing, but if an adult tells me they can cast spells, I can't take them any more seriously than a child that tells me they're Superman and can fly.

ThisSparklyViper · 15/08/2025 23:37

Now try this. The next time you're sitting in traffic, think of this phrase: ‘Where does an eagle not belong? Amongst the hippos’

You belong where you belong, and you exist where you exist, because certain things belong together, and when you stop being the nature of that thing, you simply cannot be there.

So for example if, when you're if you're in a situation such as traffic, just think about how you're probably in a group of people who are sort of feeling a bit gripy right now and they're not happy because they're stuck in traffic.
Now, you're not going to be like that. You're going to relax, chill out and breathe and say things like, ease and flow, open road.

Stuff like that. I'm telling you, within a few seconds or a minute that traffic jam is just going to ease. If you believe it.

Because it's not possible for someone who is in the state of flow to be stuck in traffic. It's just not possible.

I've actually done this before, and it worked, my parents were driving a car. They're all grumbling and stuff because of the ‘jam’.
And then I wrote on a piece of paper, ‘Open road, Ease & Flow’. And then we were moving! It opened right up, and we were just going along within a few seconds. So to someone from a certain angle that might look like a spell, but to me, it's science.

ThisSparklyViper · 15/08/2025 23:40

I will add though sometimes you will get the inspiration to not fight it, and that could be because you’re enjoying the chilling out, and you are learning to relax, and also you might be being protected from something.

And yes, your positive thoughts changed the situation for everyone around you 👏 👏

I think you have posted on the wrong site … most normal mature individuals don’t dabble in witchcraft and the occult because they know where it leads ….and it’s not pretty …
please respect that mums in general don’t preoccupy themselves with this nonsense and neither do they want to ruin their own kids souls … there’s enough darkness in the world atm . Please post this rot somewhere else .

Commonsensemom · 16/08/2025 00:19

Utter nonsense …. I think most moms on this site don’t occupy valuable time worrying about casting spells. I think you need to post elsewhere . There’s enough darkness in the world without dabbling with spirits of unknown origin . … and from those I know who have matured off this activity , they would never go back there , nor would they teach their kids this rubbish .

You understand that traffic jams ease though, right?

The traffic jam would have eased regardless of you doing anything. You wrote something on a piece of paper, the traffic eased, and you chose to attribute that to what you'd done. Anyone can do that with anything.

It's no different than a fortune teller making a vague allusion to good fortune, then the next time Dorris finds a fiver down the back of the sofa, she runs around telling everyone that the fortune teller was right.

Or a cancer patient praying for health, having successful chemo, and insisting that God cured them.

Surely now you part every traffic jam you see like the Red Sea?

ChaToilLeam · 16/08/2025 01:11

Stop with the nonsense, buy a piggy bank and be a wee bit more careful with hot wax. 🙄

hcee19 · 16/08/2025 01:12

Take no notice of all the negativity. You obviously enjoy what you do. If you gain any kind of enjoyment and happiness that's great. Your life to do with as you wish.

While you might not share the same beliefs, this person is asking for advice in a specific context. It's more productive to allow them to seek that advice without judgment.
If you can't offer constructive input on that topic, it's best to simply move on.

You're right, it is a chat, and you're free to comment. However, the original poster was looking for specific advice within a particular belief system. While you may not agree with it, labeling it 'harmful nonsense' isn't helpful to their request and can shut down open discussion for those who do find value in these practices.
This is a space where people should feel comfortable asking for advice without judgment, even if their beliefs differ from yours.
