Family in fear after Tommy Robinson shares video of black man with white granddaughters.

Exclusive: Olajuwon Ayeni racially abused and falsely labelled a paedophile as far right weaponises clip of family in park

Oh god, that’s horrendous! And the police say there is nothing they can do? Angry

Saucery · 20/08/2025 09:07

Re the flag thing - there must have been a post in my local FB group about it, but I didn’t see the original. I saw a ranty follow up that was by someone who is a long-standing member of the community, so I don’t know if the idea was seeded by far right infiltration. It’s certainly caught on, though, demonstrating that if you give a bunch of racists an excuse they will grab it eagerly. Sad

It’s awful. I can’t believe the police are washing their hands of it.

I'm reminded once more of pandora's thread about the rise of unchecked racism on MN.

Some people on MN are still really angry I started that thread. I must be doing something right.

I see there is a thread on the Epping decision. The usual lies are now being aired.

Was going to post that. I feel so angry about it as well. How absolutely terrifying for the family.

PandoraSocks · 20/08/2025 09:20

That poor man. Why the fuck aren't the police doing more?

Goldenbear · 20/08/2025 09:21

Yes, terrifying, that poor family. Why is there so much desire for division, I don't think I'm witnessing this offline but who knows what your neighbours, colleagues are starting to believe etc. very worrying times.

Notonthestairs · 20/08/2025 09:27

It’s fascinating that a Conservative policy - putting asylum seekers in hotels - should suddenly become a Labour policy issue.

Well, not fascinating, just Mail style spin.

I agree with Piggy that Farage etc just want to bring down the government any which way they think they can. If that includes encouraging violence, harassment and or riots then they’ll do that.

Notonthestairs · 20/08/2025 09:29

DuncinToffee · 20/08/2025 08:33

This is what Farage and his fans want

  • just detain & deport 30k people (with nowhere to hold or send them)
  • just take people back to France (invade French waters without permission)
  • just send people back to Afghanistan (how?)

And the press is happy to let him shout unchallenged

The press want click bait. Farage gives them that.
We are a long way past sober journalism.

Goldenbear · 20/08/2025 10:02

I'm not a Royalist but what's with the abundance of threads about the Royals' work ethic at the moment 🤔

Indeed. He had no connections with Ingerland at all.

Exactly, Goldenbear. I feel the same way.

He should say he supports the Palestine Action Group. I bet they'd be able to do something then.

Private Eye

There is space in the TV schedules for a drama about a person - maybe a woman ? - who when faced with an "apathetic" police (that'll trigger the LLMs 😀) decides to deliberately commit a crime to ensure they and their family are made safe in prison rather then be left to the mercies of the mob.

It would need some sensitive and careful crafting to create layers of nuance and antipathy as well as empathy and sympathy.

The crime could be a political one - assassination or attempted assassination, and the protagonist would plead guilty to ensure they were jailed to safety rather than risking an acquittal and being freed.

It could be my Great Unfinished Novel.

Why do they all go to prison for her crime?

MsJinks · 20/08/2025 13:56

The hotels got more full due to Afghans being evacuated in a rush - as necessary, as promised and as absolutely deserved when they helped the British Army.
Yes, other asylum claimants are also put in (scummy) hotels but this was due to letting the ridiculous backlog happen under the previous government.
They can’t be sent ‘back’ without their claims being heard, and then an agreement with the country they are being sent ‘back’ to that they are wanted there, and not if they’re liable to be tortured/killed (Taliban anyone?).
Disgusting Frog and totally repulsive many names won’t get around these things either - do they want to get the streets/beaches running with blood - seems a sick fantasy of theirs tbh but rest assured neither would be in the U.K. if this happened.
This all makes me feel quite sick - I can’t quite comprehend the purpose of the rabble rousing and definitely can’t see any half decent outcome. Very, very saddening 😞

PandoraSocks · 20/08/2025 14:09

@MsJinks it is starting to feel as though the hate is winning. But maybe that is just on social media. I really hope so.

Notonthestairs · 20/08/2025 14:22

NEW: The Conservatives have written to the Home Secretary asking her to rule out moving asylum seekers to housing needed by locals.

They ask will she “Commit that none of the illegal immigrants currently in the Bell Hotel will be moved into hotels, HMOs, apartments, or social housing which are much needed for British people.”

The hypocrisy!

The Tories used 400 hotels to manage deliberate backlogs caused by their own legislation.

The Tories stopped councils building council houses and introduced right to buy.

Now they campaign to close the hotels and have the barefaced cheek to reference the pressures on social housing!

(Any reference to using military bases is a joke given large parts were sold off post 2010 - the remainder is needed or requires vast sums of money spent on it.)

No wonder the Conservatives were so bloody keen to lose the election.

There are receipts

A reminder: Asylum seekers are in hotels because of a huge application backlog that the gov't must work through. Robert Jenrick - now, bursting with creative solutions - processed applications slowly on purpose as a deterrent.

Here he is, as Immigration Minister two years ago, saying so. ~AA

Have the Tories suggested where the asylum seekers should be housed instead?

I presume they won’t be happy unless it’s somewhere involving legionnaires disease.

Philps wants the Government to reinstall the Rwanda agreement.

PandoraSocks · 20/08/2025 15:41

This is just so disgusting and so dehumanising. Where the fuck are these people supposed to be housed?

placemats · 20/08/2025 15:56

Everybody is a NIMBY now. New housing - no. New affordable homes - NO.

Anyone whose dark skinned and has recently moved into your area? Paedophile.
