It’s inhuman and a complete waste of money (though of course, @AskingQuestionsAllTheTime’s explanation is spot on). As if anyone visiting for whatever reason WANTS to willingly stay in their poxy MAGA country nowadays. (Apologies to the Americans on this thread, I know your America as it should be, not as it is now, is a good place.)

Just a thought, are there any recent statistics on tourists visiting the USA this summer? I know tourism from Canada has decreased by 33% this year, I’m wondering if there are any figures for Europeans (not) visiting?
