Trumplethinskin wants his Situation Room photo because it most definitely rained on his parade - Trump thread #145 | Mumsnet

All he’s done is lie since he came down that escalator. Previous thread: [[https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/_chat/5344386-no-more-musk-melania-mia-and-t...

Definite not true about no weapons in the UK. I worked in Cardiff when Obama was in town for the G7. It was very unnerving being one of the only people walking though the St David’s centre at 7:30 am and coming face to face with police carrying automatic rifles (I know nothing about guns so don’t know exactly what they were but they were big.)

Trump takes US out of UNESCO (again)
Too woke (apparently) but, as with all his decisions, 'baby' and 'bath water' come to mind.

Trump pulls US out of Unesco in blow for UN culture and education agency.
White House cites Unesco’s focus on ‘divisive social and cultural causes’ in latest withdrawal from global bodies.

But weren't they "our" police? So under our control. (Armed police are on permanent display in London nowadays - strolling through Waterloo station etc.)

I'm not in favour of armed US Secret Service goons shadowing Drumpf for a private visit to the U.K.

Armed police aren't unusual in the UK (and a damn sight more are armed than one might think).

However whilst as UK policemen they clearly can kill with impunity at least they can't fuck off to the states after taking an innocent life. (After lying to the UK police as well).

Clearly no one remembers the "Yes Prime Minister" episode where French security services decided to test Chunnel security with a real bomb ....

Mike Johnson just canceled votes for Thursday and is sending the House home early for summer recess in order to shut down Democratic efforts to demand more votes on releasing the Epstein filles

That will help stop people asking about it

RafaistheKingofClay · 22/07/2025 17:41

Yeah there’s definitely nothing to see here.

The eerie parallels with Brexit pile on .... who remembers Johnson illegally proroguing parliament ?

DuncinToffee · 22/07/2025 17:47

He is blaming Obama for everything, even treason is mentioned

Presidents now have immunity according to the SC, non?

DuncinToffee · 22/07/2025 17:51

Here is what he said

https://bsky.app/profile/atrupar.com/post/3lukunpczmw2o

REPORTER: Gabbard has submitted a criminal referral. Who should the DOJ target?

TRUMP: It would be President Obama. And Biden was there with him ... the leader of the gang was Obama. Barack Hussein Obama. He's guilty. This is treason.

Serpentstooth · 22/07/2025 17:53

Obama? I thought everything was Biden's fault? How about Michelle and Hilary? Surely they should be sharing the blame too?

Serpentstooth · 22/07/2025 18:02

I'm going to retire and gibber gently in a corner. This USA madness is leaking everywhere. WTF is going on?

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 22/07/2025 18:18

Haven't been unusual for a longish time. When I was living in London down the road from a Celeb of some sort (politician or whathaveyou) there was an armed police guard outside his house all day on every day he was in residence.

That must have been before 1975, because I moved out of that road in 1975.

RafaistheKingofClay · 22/07/2025 19:53

The Epstein stuff is really making him lose his shit.

Although I think he’s going to find that whatever Obama and Biden have done the have immunity. Something to do with an earlier ruling that was made 😂

Mrsbloggz · 22/07/2025 20:02

Every outrageous thing he gets away with seems to make it easier for him to get away with the next -even more outrageous- thing.
Surely he has to overreach? Or will he be another one who is never held to account?

Tacocatgoatcheesepizza · 22/07/2025 20:11

He is absolutely going to get away with it because now they are going to take testimony from ghislaine maxwell which I’m sure will exonerate Trump in return for a pardon.

AskingQuestionsAllTheTime · 22/07/2025 20:22

Mrsbloggz
will he be another one who is never held to account?

He'll die before he's found guilty of anything, I suspect.

DuncinToffee · 22/07/2025 20:41

Breaking from the Office of Pres. Obama:

"Our office does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response. But these claims are outrageous enough to merit one. These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.

"Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 presidential election but did not successfully manipulate any votes. These findings were affirmed in a 2020 report by the bipartisan Senate Intel Cmte., led by … Marco Rubio."

CaveMum · 22/07/2025 22:04

So glad to see the Obama’s are not taking any of Trump’s shit anymore. It has Ben pretty disappointing that the former Presidents have not been more vocal in calling him out. We all know they hate him!

Lalgarh · 22/07/2025 22:15

Clinton is.knee deep in the Epstein stuff so that might explain his silence

RafaistheKingofClay · 22/07/2025 22:41

yeah Clinton can’t say anything. I’d bet some Democrats congressmen and senators have the same issue.

There are a lot of powerful people who are invested in keeping this stuff hidden. Most of them weren’t stupid enough to run on a campaign of ‘releasing the files’ and ‘clearing the swamp’ though.

CaveMum · 22/07/2025 22:55

Oh I get why Clinton hadn’t said anything around the Epstein stuff, but he could have said something before - as could the other 3.

Jaichangecentfoisdenom · 23/07/2025 06:17

CaveMum · 22/07/2025 22:55

Agreed, but the problem has been that they all have been treating the office of the President (and therefore the idiot who is President now) with the respect which it ought to be given, according to custom and decency, as well as expecting the present incumbent to behave within the checks and balances of the Constitution as supposedly set up by their forefathers. Nobody expected him to break the rules to that extent and they are like deer caught in the headlights, they have no idea what to do about him. Normal, proper, reactions don’t work with him. If you see what I mean? "the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House” are extremely harsh words for a former President to use about a current one, I think. I’m with @Serpentstooth. That’s me in the corner.

MsJinks · 23/07/2025 06:33

I thought Obama’s patience was ridiculously incredible (and others’ too)- though I understand respect for the office etc trump goes so impossibly far and is so accusatory that it’s time some actual facts were put out there or only the orange one’s words are on record. I do though think he’ll look at deportation for Obama now!
I started to wonder if anyone ever actually plays stuff back to trump that he said last week and jogs his memory about stuff - he lies like a toddler as if the far fetched imagining is true - for the minute.
