I don't think that all slim people are starving themselves, nor do I think they all need to "stick a biscuit in their gobs and cheer up".

I would find going NC with any family members a huge deal and a major life event, not just the way any disagreement is handled.

I've never been involved in an altercation where people have "screamed" at me, nor I at them.

I don't work and have been financially dependent on DH for years as I have been an unpaid carer. Even before that we had shared finances, joint everything. I don't have an emergency fund nor do I have my ducks in a row.

My DIL likes me. She voluntarily sends me jokey WhatsApps.

I'm not a psychiatrist nor a clinical psychologist, so I've never diagnosed random strangers with ASD, NPD nor dementia. Far less when they're only characters on a post by an anonymous user of an online forum.

DH and I poo in our ensuite.

Oh and I didn't "rescue" my dog. He's a pedigree golden retriever and I bought him from a breeder.

I don't drive (and don't constantly ask for rides)
Not only do I wear shoes inside I even - wait for it - lie on the bed/sofa while wearing them, along with my outside clothes 😜
I use public toilets, frequently, and yes I poo if I need to
I used my DH's surname after marriage - and still do so, over 20 years after we separated
I don't have children

Recently travelled a couple of hours to attend the evening do of a child free wedding. Paid for overnight accommodation. Brought a generous gift. Had an absolutely wonderful time.

None of my children nor my husband or I is SEN or ASD or ADHD etc and I don’t put any of our bad behaviors down to an undiagnosed form of any of the above. Sometimes we are just assholes.

Have you ever been “humiliated” by an altercation or disagreement, despite it being relatively minor?

I would bet my life that my DH, DS and son in law are all not "like that".

I don't find the thought of middle aged men cycling hilarious; it's a normal and healthy hobby, especially where I live. Women do it too.

Not really appropriate. I can be an asshole absolutely like most people but I think your post undermines people who do have autism, adhd or any other disability.

Possibly it does but it also possibly highlights that there are ALOT of people who self diagnose themselves and / or their family to excuse shitty behaviour. Take it whatever way you wish. You did read the word UNDIAGNOSED????
