Oh @MissConductUS what a shock for you, but you are in the best place and hopefully 🤞 you will be home recuperating for Christmas. Sending good thoughts to you.
My SIL and daughter have spent the last two days de-cluttering and cleaning living room, kitchen, conservatory and bathroom! Played a blinder, it looks great now and the charity shops are going to benefit from this. I’ve also got quite a few toys and books that my grandsons have outgrown and hardly used which my DD can pass on to friend’s children.
I’ve managed to do a Tesco, an Ocado and a meat order arriving tomorrow, Saturday and Monday. My fridge has been stripped of all duplicates (and more) of condiments. Why would I have 4 jars of Mint Sauce? So now I thankfully have room for the fridge orders. The drinks will be going in a large plastic box out in the garden to keep cool.
While we were all in the living room today my stairlift decided to go upstairs on its own. It got halfway and then stopped. My DD went upstairs to get it, she used the remote control to bring it down, then it started to go back up on its own again and we had no idea what was happening. Half an hour later I solved the mystery. One of the remote controls was on the table in front of me and things had been put on top of it, so it was travelling up and down on its own because of the remote and thankfully not haunted!
I’ve had a bit of a very mixed emotional time this week. It was my OH’s late mother’s birthday and my mum’s anniversary on the same day. I spent a lot of the day on my own and felt quite sad. However, now my mood is back up, because my family will be here in 35 hours. I’m counting them down now 🤣🤗🤗 Can’t wait. They have ordered special meals and activities for the time they are here, so we are sorted now.
I’m loving the poached egg pictures. My favourite way to cook eggs, well my OH cooks them and I eat them.
