Because I picked up my work keys, instead of my house keys, and shut the house door behind me, before I unlocked the front door.

DS asleep, not answering his phone. Banging on the door not woken him up. Called/messaged a friend who has a key, but no reply yet.

Sunday plans gone slightly wrong!

Can you get out of your porch to the outside or is that door locked?

How old is DS? I’d keep banging if I were you. DH once did this - we have a similar set up - but fortunately the outer door was unlocked so although he was locked out, at least he could sit on the step to wait for the locksmith 🤦‍♀️

Any neighbours walking by who might see you and ring the doorbell to stir DS?!

This happened to someone i know they had to smash the glass but nobody else was home. Hopefully your son will wake up soon

It says on the OP that the door is locked. She wouldn't be stuck in the porch if it was unlocked.

Are there any alarms or alerts you can set off inside the house to wake DS up, for example on Tiles? Or do you have any cameras you can turn on and use the speaker function to call him?

Keep ringing your friend and your son. Do not message as people ignore messages.
Have you tried yelling through the letterbox or is there no letterbox on the inner door?

Yes okay I see that now. I have ASD and take things very literally, so when it said in the OP she shut it before she unlocked the front door I thought that meant she had unlocked the front door. Obviously it doesn’t mean that when you think about the actual situation.

Yep, front door well and truly locked. Still, good thing is the security is clearly sound. I moved in last year, after a divorce, and it felt safe.

Actually, for a little terrace, it's very solid and no way ds will hear the banging on the door.

Oh dear 🤣 this happened to me once, my then 3 year old closed the door as I went to get the post. No one had spare keys and my son was on the other side of the door. Luckily for me there was a random golf club also in the porch and I managed to smash the little glass window.

If DS is asleep, sit down and start to relax, my experience is as soon as I relax one of three DS I have will come looking for me with a job they need doing.

I still laugh about that lovely lady and her tits sliding down the window and her friend dying from the giggles.

Door bell outside, no letter box. No windows that open. One friend with key is at her boyfriend's, and hour away. Waiting on the other friend...otherwise, ds will wake up when he's hungry. His phone will be on silent.

Do you have the number of anyone closer who could ring the doorbell?

Have you thought about bending a wire coat hanger to fish yourself out?

How old is DS? If he’s a teen he’s not going to wake up before 11…

I thought you must be drunk. I’ve slept in a porch before as opening the other door felt like too much of a struggle.
