Android Update! Everything is different and I HATE change!

My Samsung Android phone did a system update last night. Absolutely everything looks different whether it's the text on FB, my app icons, even the battery percentage!! I Absolutely do not like change and this has made me irrationally angry! Anyone else?

How long do you reckon I can keep going without installing the update?

I HATE this update. I can't navigate any of it! How d o I figure out how to use it?!!!?

I hate how I can't access my notifications properly from the top because the WiFi page etc drops down.

I have Pixel too and no update.

Same, same 💜💙 But the bloody lock screen changed. I've changed the big shouty clock font back to something tolerable, now I need to figure out how to change the thumbprint and 'swipe up' text from barely-there, delicate black to moderately clunkier white.

It is really irritating, I agree. ONE UI, fair enough, but couldn't they have made it ONE UI WITH YOUR SETTINGS? Twats.

You can screenshot by swiping across with the side of your hand.

Can't remember if this is default or you have to enable it in settings, sorry (too tired to look now).

I have always struggled to screenshot on this phone and following your post about the 'pen' icon now have a screenshot icon there - thank you

After I've changed that I no longer have a pen icon, where is it now?

Glad I searched for this issue. My Samsung updated yesterday and I'm finding my phone almost unusable because it keeps opening Bixby (have never used and no intention of it) Anyone has this problem and found a fix? My DD thought she'd disabled it but still keeps popping up every time I touch the side bar.

I think this is the push I needed to change to an iPhone. Samsung Galaxy is the worst phone I've ever had by a mile.

I'm completely ignoring the update (my phone isn't set to update automatically).
How long can I get away with it? At some point will it become obligatory? Or will stuff stop working?

I did the first update and am now getting multiple notifications for a second update which I am ignoring....I don't think I can deal with any more change 😉

It will eventually my phone certain functions weren't responding Gmail, keyboard not coming up.. updated everything came back to normal.

You need to change the settings back for some reason they changed the side buttons from on/off to bixby

Ive been a Samsung Galaxy gal since time began. I got one of those rinky dinky entry level ones 6 years that still works like a charm, small enough to stuff in your jeans, still really responsive and epic battery life.

I had to get a second phone and this new Galaxy is so disappointing. The camera is fantastic but the phone is constantly getting hot and the battery just seeps right out of it

It does seem like the problem isn't android but some specific android phones. It sounds like those of us with Pixel phones were fine after the update. I switched years ago from Samsung to Pixel and have always been glad. No more Samsung bloatware for a start.

Yes @HornyHornersPinger I also hate all the added AI enhancements. I am about to get my old Samsung out of the drawer and not update anything on it.
