Android Update! Everything is different and I HATE change!

My Samsung Android phone did a system update last night. Absolutely everything looks different whether it's the text on FB, my app icons, even the battery percentage!! I Absolutely do not like change and this has made me irrationally angry! Anyone else?

Also hate i cant have pages in alphabetical order for my ap
Swipe down for settings and otifications really annoying as well

My phone keeps giving me warnings it is hot as well.

I wish that I had read this thread before I updated yesterday!

Mine did it yesterday I hate it search bar at the bottom and when I pull down from the top to change WiFi to mobile data It takes about 3 times as it just shows notifications

Mine has been getting so hot i thought it was just me

I use Nova Launcher on my android phone, so whatever updates the manufacturer decide to make, my home screen will always look exactly the way I like it.

Would highly recommend it as it's highly customisable, so you can get your phone looking exactly how you like it.

I like the charger indicator; it's easier to see. The time thing is weird....

Whenever I look at the charger indicator my blood pressure rises. It is horrible and I will never settle until it changes from that black and white monstrosity!

Oh I like it 😄, it updated yesterday and its the first time in ages it actually looks different.

You can change the phone in widgets, I think theres 4 different styles.
I don't have a pen icon 🤷

I have a photo on my always on display so mine still shows as 1604. You could try that.

Ridiculous update, why does the appearance have to change? Just do an update that makes it run better but look the same!

I've had it for a couple of months now, so I'm used to it. I didn't stop ranting for about 4 days when it first updated though. It was definitely better before!

For some reason my Messenger app is no longer showing notifications on the lockscreen.

I have managed to get notifications to show for most apps by changing to the 'Cards' option in Settings, but for Messenger the phone just dings once and doesn't indicate I have a new message until I unlock the lockscreen.

I am missing messages if I am away from the phone and don't hear the notification sound.

Has anyone else had this and managed to resolve it?

They have managed to do a fabulous job of changing pretty much everything to a worse version!

You can change it in setting, lock screen then scroll down to where it says 'looking for something else' and select edit lock screen and tap on the clock. Then select style and choose the one you want.

Following so I'll know what to do!
