Aside from the fillet fish obviously. A CRIMINALLY underrated burger.

We also have a Dijon mustard chicken burger here that is fantastic (which is a good fillet fish meal chaser!)

Where are you where you can get Dijon mustard chicken burger? That sounds lovely

for me it depends as I go through phases but my usual go to’s depending on my mood :

McChicken burger
Big Mac
quarter pounder
double cheeseburger

nothing too exciting there!

Denmark!

We also have mustard as a dipping sauce which is fabulous

I visited Paris last year and you could get macarons in McDonalds, very fancy!

I have a soft spot for a Big Mac meal and a chocolate milkshake.

WeAreNotOutnumbered · 21/05/2025 17:38

Oh I am inspired now to branch out of my standards. I tried the Philly cheese once and that was - a bit meh to my taste. I really wanted a MacRib when they were about but we never got to mcDonalds at the right time for that. Next time though...

Yes we can also, they're surprisingly tasty!

I was in Rome last year and they had mini panzerotti/ calzone things. Fabulous

I'll tell you what we don't have here. Mcdonalds breakfast. Devastating

I love a fillet of fish too. That plus a side of chicken nuggets is my standard order.

But I do love a Big Mac. Although I eat it in two separate layers because I'm strange according to DH.....but not poor or dim 🤣

I prefer Burger King simply because McDonalds just don't do a burger that has everything I want in it! I want burger patties, lettuce (proper juicy lettuce, not nasty dry leaves) tomato and raw onion. I have not found - ever- a McDonald's burger that contains tomato, and I was EXTREMELY disappointed by the last 'special' burger I had (can't remember the name) which said it had lettuce and raw onion in it as well as all the other stuff. It wasn't lettuce. It was some other kind of leaf that was dry and did not provide the juicy freshness I was craving.

I don't care what other stuff they put in there as I can choose not to have it. I don't want mayo, special sauce, pickles, cheese, cheese sauce, anything barbecue or spicy. I just want meat, lettuce, tomato, raw onion and tomato sauce! Crispy onions are OK but not necessary. Cooked onions are OK. Those ridiculous little bits of dehydrated onion McDonalds put in their regular burgers are NOT OK. I like the burger relish that my local chippy puts in their burgers and which you can buy in the supermarket, but I've never seen a burger with that in at any of the mainstream burger places in the UK.

Oh - and NOT a brioche bun! An ordinary burger bun with sesame seeds on it please!

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 21/05/2025 17:53

Quarterpounder with cheese.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 21/05/2025 18:00

The Philly Cheesesteak definitely the onion and cheese is amazing and the Big Mac Jnr mentioned by the OP. It was the perfect burger, I don’t know why it hasn’t come back

Place marking here so I can play the fun game of McBingo: everyone someone comments something along the lines of 'I much prefer cucumber and hummus', I eat a McNugget from my sharebox.

😂

murasaki · 21/05/2025 18:13

Bacon double cheeseburger, no pickle, no ketchup, extra cheese.

Brioche buns really annoy me. I don't want a sweet bun with no structural integrity with my burger.

The only thing I like is their sausage and egg muffin breakfast thing.

None. So so much better burgers available at many other places. Unless you're very poor or a bit dim I don't understand why you'd buy a burger at McDonald's.

I knew it wouldn't take long when I clicked on the thread. Just 5 posts in 👏

A filet of fish chaser you say ? Oh we could be friends

Look, just because you can't navigate the till. The intelligent staff can assist you with that. They're used to people who may not be able to cope due to their own deficiencies.

Enjoy your bistro rubbish!

I’m ancient and I’ve never eaten a MacD’s burger. They don’t look remotely appetising but I have taken DS to other fast food places like Nando’s and Supermacs if we’re in the city.

Why bother posting then? You can't answer ops question can you but had to let us know how supreme you are in your old age?

The McSpicy is pretty tasty

I adore a Mcspicy. I don’t eat a lot of fast food but that bastard has me hooked.

ShaunaSadeki · 21/05/2025 18:20

McPlant, Thanks, I want one now instead of tofu bloody stir fry with brown bloody rice and veg.

Nat4819 · 21/05/2025 18:21

Has to be the McChicken Sandwich! Although a freshly prepared quarter pounder with cheese comes a close second.

Strong disagree, I’ve never had a burger better than a McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger.

And I’m a member of Mensa and in the top 2% of earners in the UK.

BobbyBiscuits · 21/05/2025 18:21

I only like the fish burger and occasionally just a hamburger. I love the spicy nuggets they used to do, they need to bring those back!

I don't like the beef much as it seems do boring and the sauces just overwhelm it.
But strangely the hamburger hits the spot sometimes.

I guess I don't like the cheese do appreciate the half slice in the fish one!

chachahide · 21/05/2025 18:22

To all the McDonalds snobs on the thread, as a household we earn over £200k, we’ve got 4 degrees between us and we occasionally enjoy a McDonalds.

You don’t need to be ‘thick’ or ‘dim’ to enjoy it. That’s the wonderful thing about choice and personal taste.

I think you need to be ‘dim’ to not understand that.

You're going to need a bigger box

JamieFrasersSassenach · 21/05/2025 18:25

@TimeForATerf - I have found my person!!!

I love a filet of fish 👌👌

I also make my own at home with brioche bun, 3 fish fingers, plastic cheese (sometimes real cheddar to posh it up a bit) and tartare sauce. Might have to go to Morrisons now though to check out the square fish burgers…

Failing that it would have to be a Big Mac and always a McFlurry
