What is the best MCds burger?

Aside from the fillet fish obviously. A CRIMINALLY underrated burger.

We also have a Dijon mustard chicken burger here that is fantastic (which is a good fillet fish meal chaser!)

Gourmet burgers have their place but McDonalds is something very specific that you can't really compare to. I like both, depending on what I am craving. There's a place local to me that does amazing burgers with proper beef or lamb rather than the thin Maccy's patties but I don't always want that.

I really like their coffee. I used to enjoy a Big Mac but not so much that I pay the price for that: I sometimes buy a hamburger and a cheeseburger, throw a bun top away and stack it like a big Mac. One cheese slice is enough and the meat/bun ratio is perfect for me.

I do love a Big Mac, and a double cheeseburger.

I don't really like fries so sometimes if very very hungry I will order a Big Mac and a filet of fish or chicken selects instead of fries. Big Mac large fries have more calories than a filet of fish * and I always find fries go nowhere on my personal satiety index while a filet of fish does.

*Just getting that in before the pure amongst us faint in horror.

I see fillet I fish posted a lot. We don't get those 👀. I assume it's a fish burger though 😂. It sounds, well just a bit wrong, somehow. But I feel I have a bit of fomo now.

My order is chicken nuggets with waffle fries. And jalapeño dip.
I'm partial to the cheesy fries too.

I got a free chicken foldover the last time. One of those app deals. It was not great. I'm not surprised they were being given away. So I don't vote for those.

It's interesting seeing all the different maccies in different countries ... and before anyone piles on to say I'm a low life heathen, I do also appreciate the local cuisine ffs.

But I like seeing the different menus, they all vary slightly and some of the buildings are incredible ... the one in porto was magnificent. And I went to one on a beach in spain once, and they served ice cold beer with the burgers.

When they brought out the giant Big Mac they also brought out a Big Mac Jr that was a cheeseburger made up as a Big Mac that was perfectly ratioed!

Also, does anyone remember YEARS ago they had a burger that was chicken on a herby bread…it was a permanent (at the time 💔) menu item and in my memories was AMAZING!

I’m ancient and I’ve never eaten a MacD’s burger. They don’t look remotely appetising but I have taken DS to other fast food places like Nando’s and Supermacs if we’re in the city.

It's comments like these that make Mumsnet the fabulous entertainment fodder that it is.
