Is Nige beginning to look a bit orange, there? Could be nicotine stains, I suppose.

And what are reform in Kent doing about it? They can't just bleat about it being out of their control, when that was the whole point of their campaign. Since they've been elected, numbers have gone up. They promised to fix this

In the run up to the local elections people on this thread were saying that Reform can't do anything about the boats only Labour can. Now that numbers have gone up apparently now it's all Reform's fault. Although @cardibach seems to think the numbers have gone down for some reason.

You do make me laugh on here at times with how you twist things.

People are fed up with the Tories and Labour so they think they might as well give Reform a chance

As goldenbear said, this is not accurate.

Latest polls show that amongst 18-49 year olds Labour is still ahead. In the over 65s Reform and Tory are neck and neck. It is amongst the 50-64 year olds that Reform has a massive lead.

It’s interesting it’s that age group considering Farage wouldn’t promise the triple lock would continue and said they’d be drawing up a policy on that.

So if those approaching pension age are Reforms highest potential voters I wonder what is drawing that age group?

Nobody is saying it is Reform's fault Confused

Why are asylum seekers such a huge issue for you?

Is your irony detector broken? It’s a very useful thing to have in full working order round here.

If Reform are going to make the big claims, they can't just wriggle out of them with "oh, we didn't mean this election."

And nobody has twisted anything.

You have had it explained to you that the boats are very weather dependent.

You have had it explained to you that net migration, to which the boats make a tiny contribution, is down.

You also appear to have missed the news shared here, this morning, about the raids on people smuggler gangs https://news.sky.com/story/suspected-gang-who-helped-hundreds-of-migrants-enter-uk-illegally-arrested-in-raids-across-england-13378776

So maybe it's you doing the twisting.

Suspected gang who 'helped hundreds of migrants enter UK illegally' arrested in raids across England

Arrests were carried out in Cheltenham, Manchester, Nottingham, Sheffield and Bradford after Botswana nationals were allegedly given fake documents to submit asylum claims and gain employment in care homes without adequate training.

Keir is condescending to Kemi, no doubt. The issue is that she is not very good. In fact she is just dire.

The point of order was further embarrassment. Badenoch needs to get a better team around her because she is wasting a golden opportunity each week. She does not need her MPs backing her up with points of order, she should be skewering her opponent.

I wonder why her team aren’t supporting her better.

Probably thinking that they would rather work for 'honest Bob' or James Cleverly so hoping they can hasten this happening in the autumn.

BIossomtoes · 04/06/2025 21:59

I bet she’s a nightmare to work for. They probably all go into hiding on Wednesday afternoons.

I am told they never wanted her in the first place. Apparently at the last election there was a candidate who ran to deliberately split the Conservative vote so she lost. The local party hated her that much it was tolerated

DuncinToffee · 04/06/2025 22:41

Labour is extending FSM to all children on Universal Credit

Me too. It is a mystery.

Just came to post about the extension of FSM. Just waiting to hear what the right wing backlash will be.

Absolutely no idea of the trauma that some children in the care system have suffered and that unpicking that is complex… yet they are “evil” ☹️

Maybe .. “Spare the rod, spoil the child” or “didn’t do me any harm “ or “do as I say and not as I do”
No idea but nevertheless his comments were not useful.

PickAChew · 04/06/2025 23:58

I know it's not on to allude to cured pork products but that twat is the embodiment of gammon.

He has no idea what some of those children have been through. So glad there were some sensible, compassionate grown ups there to set him right.

BIossomtoes · 05/06/2025 00:03

Oh fuck, he’s one of ours! He represents a part of the fens where they have webbed feet. I can just imagine how that went down with the councillors from Cambridge wards.

I said immigration had gone down. Which it has. Immigration is not limited to boats. In fact they are a tiny, tiny proportion of it.

I’ve often wondered if the Tory’s are deliberating leaving her to rot and destroy the party so that they can swoop in with Jenrick to save the day.
