Though I think there comes a point where you don't do anything wonderful, yet the knees still grumble. Given the chance, I would be out there making my knees grumble in far more inspiring ways than mooching round charity shops with DS1!

ive had so many kitchen related burns over the years - hope he’s doing ok Pointy.
And congratulations to DS1.

Two different DC - DC1 boiled their legs. DC2 passed his dissertation.
But I do appreciate the sympathy. We got home at 4, turns out that DC1 got incredibly lucky (also we followed the protocol for home treatment of burns before going in) - no blisters, nothong major, just pain relief and moisturising needed. They won't be able to work tomorrow though and our trip to the zoo for today is off. But it could have been so much worse.

I'm incredibly proud of DC2, he's had the hardest of years with bodged medication changes, a complete dissertation rewrite and his usual disabilities on top of that. But he's kept up with the work and is going to get his degree in Marine Biology!

Great news about DC2 @pointythings and much sympathy for DC1. I managed to burn my finger on flaming candle wax at Christmas - it was only a small burn but it hurt like anything, so empathy and sympathy from me.

I made it! I’ve officially lost one toe nail

I hope DS1 recovers quickly @pointythings and well done to DS2. I have a Marine Zoologist in the family so trips to coastlines are very….informative
