Is it just me who hates seeing men ( of any age / physique ) walking about in busy places & out and about , topless .
It just seems so grim .

No, you're not alone!

mumofoneAlonebutokay · 17/05/2025 17:17

'Of any age and physique'

No girl, a sexy 30 year old with a muscly body will never get a complaint from me 😄😄

SunnieShine · 17/05/2025 17:18

It's yuk.

Chocolate85 · 17/05/2025 17:21

Nope, I’d be over the moon if Vin Diesel walked around my town topless.

Womblingmerrily · 17/05/2025 17:23

No. I think it's up to people what they wear or don't wear.

I think people who insist others adhere to their personal rules of style/fashion/dress are insufferable.

Thethingswedoforlove · 17/05/2025 17:23

@op why do you dislike it?

HedgehogOnTheBike · 17/05/2025 17:25

Why does it matter?
Is it harming you?
Would you like laws that required they cover up? Is a vest ok?
Is it the nipples?

Or extend it to women wearing bikinis and short shorts when their butt is hanging out.

Perhaps showing ankles is a bit too much too?

It's a you problem, look away.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 17/05/2025 17:27

it's par for the course down my neck of the woods . but it's repulsive in a supermarket , resturant or pubic transport .
I don't want some sweaty blokes skin on a chair I'm going to sit on or food I might buy .

And whatever he looks like - same repulsion

Moveoverdarlin · 17/05/2025 17:30

It’s really chavvy.

LadyKenya · 17/05/2025 17:35

Someone has the temerity to walk past my window, with his huge belly on display, whenever there is a crack of the sun shining. I just avert my eyes.

abracadabra1980 · 17/05/2025 17:36

I'm sure I'm being judgmental, which will be scowled upon, but I think it's classless. So in this day and age, I guess we'd call it 'chavvy'.

JohnTheRevelator · 17/05/2025 17:39

No,you're not alone. I hate this too. It's one of my (many) pet hates about warmer weather.

ThePlatypusAlwaysTriumphs · 17/05/2025 17:40

Taps aff! As we say in Scotland. Sadly it's only the weedy ugly guys who are keen to show off!

nahthatsnotforme · 17/05/2025 17:42

It’s totally unnecessary and totally vile.

CurlewKate · 17/05/2025 17:42

I don’t like it either. Whoever it is. Even Idris Elba.

MemorableTrenchcoat · 17/05/2025 17:43

Vile? I don’t see a big difference between that and women wearing skimpy bikinis.

CurlewKate · 17/05/2025 17:44

And I don’t want to see women in bikinis in Tesco either.

BlueyNeedsToFuckOff · 17/05/2025 17:45

MemorableTrenchcoat · 17/05/2025 17:43

Vile? I don’t see a big difference between that and women wearing skimpy bikinis.

You don’t see many of those in Sainsbury’s though!

Although there was someone on the Tube last night who seemed to have forgotten her trousers.

MemorableTrenchcoat · 17/05/2025 17:46

CurlewKate · 17/05/2025 17:44

And I don’t want to see women in bikinis in Tesco either.

Are they also vile?

ChocolateCinderToffee · 17/05/2025 17:49

I don't think it's any worse than teenage girls with their bums out.

I would rather not look at either, mind you.

CurlewKate · 17/05/2025 17:54

MemorableTrenchcoat · 17/05/2025 17:46

Are they also vile?

They aren’t vile. The behaviour is vile.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 17/05/2025 17:56

TBH I’d rather see a topless man* than one in a singlet and displaying tattoos.
*as long as he was reasonably fit looking, tattoo-less and paunchless, of course.

Bread121bread · 17/05/2025 18:00

As long as their body odure is bearable.....it is hot, so people sweat more.

Hoppinggreen · 17/05/2025 18:01

Friend of mine moved here from Italy in May last year and once the warmer weather hit she messaged me to ask WTF all these awful pink flabby topless men was about

butteredradish4 · 17/05/2025 18:07

Their body, their choice.
