Is it just me who hates seeing men ( of any age / physique ) walking about in busy places & out and about , topless .
It just seems so grim .

Ridiculous! Why should people have to not look? Why is it a problem to think there's a time and a place for everything? Why don't women think "it's hot, I'll take off my top and bra!"?

Regardless of age or physique, it’s uncouth. Same vein as people out in PJs or bikini tops in the shops. Cheap as.

Topless me never bothered me.

Not a fan no matter the physique or age of the man. In your garden, beach - cool. At the supermarket, walking around town- not what I really want to see.
but then again I find scrunch bum leggings more inappropriate for some reason (again you can have the most ‘perfect’ figure but I still find it a bit much)

It's s bit of a non issue isn't it? Topless men have been walking around on hot days since before I was born (probably you too unless you want to tell me you're 90 years old).
