Is it just me who hates seeing men ( of any age / physique ) walking about in busy places & out and about , topless .
It just seems so grim .

🤣🤣🤣

Some of us are chronically single over here! 😄

AgnesX · 17/05/2025 18:36

Don't care about they look. How they smell is another matter. Some really whiffy people out and about today.

TheaBrandt1 · 17/05/2025 18:37

Unless they under 21 (in my mind they have a youth exemption) it’s chavvy as hell.

Bluevelvetsofa · 17/05/2025 18:38

I don’t want to see a naked torso, a vest, scrunch bum leggings or tiny shorts with arse cheeks on show on anyone, in the street or supermarket.

In hot countries men wear t shirts and knee length shorts, without sweating profusely and needing to remove their clothing.

It may not make your eyes fall out, but it’s not attractive.

'Of any age and physique'

No girl, a sexy 30 year old with a muscly body will never get a complaint from me 😄😄

on a beach, by a pool, for sure. Walking around town? Nah, it’s common as muck and shows a lack of intelligence.

Gnomegarden32 · 17/05/2025 18:40

As long as they're not stark naked people can do what they like

Frateletheboss · 17/05/2025 18:41

It's hot. Just don't look

There was a guy who clearly loved himself push by.me yesterday with his top off , there is a joke in Scotland that it's "Taps aff" weather it's all so unesscary and grim.

I'm not looking for an Oxford degree from my eyecandy girl 😄, plus, a trip to sainsburys is about as exciting as my life gets right now

@ Mrs Plantagenet,

I used to work in a family owned shop that sold fine china, home furnishings etc.
The elderly owner would refuse to let any man in the shop if he wasn't wearing a shirt(this was in a northern industrial town, not a nice coastal area)

Mrs N would have rather lost a sale, than allow such a thing in her shop!

The number of tattoos on show is grim too.

I had a top on but the vast majority of my tattoos were on show today.

How that's 'grim' I'll never know.

BotterMon · 17/05/2025 18:59

It's not a good look and typically lower class. There was a topless man in the local shop queue behind me yesterday. He was young and fit but still unacceptable imo.
Just watching the FA cup and the number of fans topless with their flab and tats on show makes me feel a bit nauseous.

mepipesneedlagging · 17/05/2025 19:03

To be honest, I never gave it a second glance until younger family members (mid 20's, male and female) always remarked how grim and cringe it is.
Now I always notice it 😂
Isn't it a Class thing?
I live in a working class area but couldn't imagine it so much up at The Lakes for example.

mepipesneedlagging · 17/05/2025 19:05

Also, is it any worse than in Benidorm etc where bikini Brits from the beach flip flop into the mini markets bending over chest freezers for a lolly 😁

Same 😅😅

GreenFressia · 17/05/2025 19:25

Not so bothered about men in the gym here 😂

CarrieLite · 17/05/2025 19:26

Depends, Chris Hemsworth? It should be a crime for that man to wear clothes!

NPET · 17/05/2025 19:27

No, depends entirely on the man and what he's showing...

Embarrassed Shame GIF

Should have Hannah Waddingham March them Hemsworths Cersei style through the UK streets for all of us to see!

No, it depends on the location. Beach, garden OK, shops, high street, buses not OK. It's tacky and tasteless. String vest and wife beater equally yuk.

Taps aff! As we say in Scotland. Sadly it's only the weedy ugly guys who are keen to show off!

Not always, I was at the traffic lights during the week, 9am and there was a very fit youngish man (mid-late 20s) crossing the road with his tap aff (12 degrees but sunny so borderline taps aff weather), and boy was each muscle on his torso rippling as he walked, twisting to check the traffic behind him.

I felt a bit like a dirty old lady ogling him, but fair made my day 🤣

Greedybilly · 17/05/2025 19:40

Only in England! We're such a classy nation aren't we?

SargeMimpson · 17/05/2025 19:42

These are not my words but I wholeheartedly agree with them.

“It's pushing a level of intimacy on strangers which is inappropriate in a public place where near nudity is not normal….I would be slightly wary of men who are shirtless because I would expect it to be indicative of a lack of boundaries and self-restraint in other areas too."

FigTreeInEurope · 17/05/2025 19:42

It's really frowned upon here in Italy. You'd straight up get told you put a shirt on! I even got told off once, in my car, at the tip.
