I understand the basics of India/Pakistan history with each other. It's not something taught in the US but I've read a bit about Partition, although I know it's much, much more than that. At this point, I hope things can be resolved quickly and with as little loss of life as possible.

But for the sake of both countries I hope to God the US stays OUT of it. I can't see our involvement doing anyone any good. Scrotus' 1st interest will be 'what can I personally get out of this'. His verbal vomit about Gaza being 'the Riviera of the Middle East' and his wanting to keep on Vlad's good side in Ukraine so he can build his bigly Moscow tower are proof enough of that.

@BustingBaoBun its all about “flood the zone” - they’re churning out as much shit as possible to distract people from what is actually going on elsewhere. Like the insane levels of corruption - listening to both TRIP and Pod Save America yesterday, they said Bloomberg has estimated that the Trump family have made almost $1 billion from their dodgy meme coin dealings.

Not to mention the “disappearing” criminal charges against Trump donors; the foreign countries that suddenly announce deals shortly after visits from Don Jr et al, etc.

Mooch was right, it’s the golden era of corruption in the US.

From what I am reading it will not be a proper trade deal, more a framework to offset some of the tariffs on steel and cars.
